The LG Optimus Black has landed its first UK carrier as T-Mobile UK has published a “coming soon” landing page for the device. The phone – most famous for its 4-inch super bright NOVA display – was revealed earlier last month. Android 2.2 is a go, and LG says it will be upgradeable to Android 2.3, but no other specs have been thrown our way. Still, that NOVA display is enough to grab our attention. We love them. Google loves them. We buy them by the box, Google buys them by the pallet. We love their limited edition releases for holidays, and do everything we can to collect all of these little guys. What am I talking about? I'm talking about the DyzPlastic Android Figurines from DeadZebra! Those boxes of 16 have been around for a little while now, and while the limited edition models are nice additions to my collection it's time for a refresh. It's time for Series 2.
The End Of The Road For Google Buzz?

Since its highly controversial release back in February of 2010, Google Buzz has failed to attract a fair share of positive spotlight. In fact, besides Buzz's deep Gmail and Maps integration, the service doesn't really bring anything truly unique to the table. For the social service to really gain traction, it would need to bring users something that they just "had to have." The sad fact is, Buzz didn't.
Privacy concerns weren't the only issue. Buzz, according to some, was doomed to fail from the start. Twitter had become too large a force to be reckoned with, and perhaps Google bit off more than it could chew.
Infrared (IR) Camera For Your Android?

Our friends at DARPA recently sent out a solicitation for the development of “wafer-sized thermal imagery sensors and optics” small enough to fit in your android handset. It seems their goal is to put an IR enabled mobile device in the hands of every soldier in the field, allowing them to not only spot people at night, but to also determine whether that person is a threat.
DARPA seems to think an IR sensor with this capability is something you’d want on your handset (or tablet). We’d like to hear from you. Do you want an IR sensor on your android? How would you use it?AT&T Details Mobile Hotspot Pricing

Earlier this week AT&T announced that their Inspire 4G would be arriving on February 13th with a $99 price tag. Not only would this handset usher in AT&T's 4G smart phone era, but it would also see the introduction of their Mobile Hotspot application. Unfortunately, AT&T remained tight-lipped about the pricing and allowed data when making their phone announcement. Today sees us learning how they plan to offer up the service.
The feature, which will run $45/month, will allow up to 4GB of data as part of a bundle with the Data Pro data plan. In other words, it comes out to $25/month for Data Pro (2GB) and another $20/month for the Mobile Hotspot app and an additional 2GB of data. Should a user go over the allotted 4GBs, it will run $10/GB on all connected devices.

The Android Market Web store has been announced and is ready for release today. The system will allow users to purchase and download content from a web browser and then send the applications to their device.
To get to the web store, navigate to http://market.android.com. Here you can browse applications just as you would on an Android device.
When you click on the “Buy” button on the web page, you will be presented with the option for which device you would like to send the application to. The purchase dialog would then appear asking to confirm the purchase. Once the credit card transaction completes, the application will be sent (via cloud) to the devices that were selected.

For those of you who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the new Android 2.2 Froyo 4G enabled tablet from Dell, namely the Dell Streak 7, your wait has now come to an end, as the Dell Streak 7 is now available.
According to an article over on Tmonews, the T-Mobile guys have released the Dell Streak 7 for purchase from T-Mobile.com and can be gained for handing over a reasonably low $199.99 based on a new two-year agreement of course and after a mail in rebate.
What can you expect from the Dell Streak 7 tablet? Well specs are a 7 inch multi-touch display, 1.33 megapixel front facing camera, Android 2.2 Froyo operating system which is upgradeable, so presumably will pack Android 3.0 Honeycomb eventually, Flash 10.1, WiFi, Bluetooth and 16GB of internal storage.
However if you can’t afford that $199.99 you could always opt for T-Mobile’s Equipment Instalment Plan, which will spread the cost of the device over 4 months and cost you $62.50 per month.
We have a Dell Streak 7 hands-on tour video below for your viewing pleasure courtesy of Jon4lakers that lasts almost five minutes…enjoy.

Today at the Honeycomb Event (Android ecosystem) Event a new announcement surrounding Google Body got a lot of attention, they say that this new feature is like Google Maps of the Human Body.
Google Body for Honeycomb (Android 3.0 OS) is now official and is coming very soon, a demo was shown at the event how the whole system works and how new 3D graphics library in Android looked.
If you visit Google Labs you can see the Body Browser and we know that is great so to hear it is coming to Honeycomb Android operating system is even better news. Please let us know if you will be using it once it has been released.
Just like Google Maps you can take away layers only this time with humans, you can rotate in 3D and search body parts before having them highlighted in the app, strip the human right down and search for organs, bones, muscles and even click to identify anatomy.
For more information please visit Android Police and Android Community, we would love to hear from you about the new Google Body Browser for Honeycomb.
