[New Update] Asus Zenfone 5Z Update Tracker

At the beginning of 2018, Asus has officially launched the Zenfone 5z with a 6.2-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (10 nm) Chipset. In-camera, there’s a 12-MP + 8-MP dual-rear camera and an 8-MP single front-facing camera. The device is available in 4/6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage.

  • [November 25, 2020]: Asus has started seeding out a new update for the Zenfone 5Z devices with the latest Security patch. The update bears the 100.10.107.110 Firmware version and features the newest Security patch, changes, improvements, and fixes. The changelog of this update is as follows.

Similar to all the other updates, it is also rolling out in phases, and as a result, it might take a couple of days to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can navigate to Settings>Software updates and check for the updates to check the update status manually. Also, make sure to maintain at least 60% of charging before updating to avoid carrier data charges.

The Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched a new smartphone under ‘E’ series which is named as Moto E7. The device comes with the same design and a few specifications of Moto E7 Plus which was launched earlier in September.

Moto E7 sports a 6.5-inch Max Vision HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an MediaTek Helio G25 processor. The smacomes only in one variant – 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. Furthermore, it can be expandable upto 512GB via microSD card. The device runs Android 10 out of the box and is backed up with a 4000mAh battery including 10W charging support.


In-camera, it houses with a dual rear camera setup that includes 48-MP Primary camera and a 2-MP Macro sensor. On the front, it comes with a 5-MP single camera for selfies and video chats. In connectivity, the device comes with 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

  • Moto E7 carries a price tag of €119.99 (Approx. Rs. 10,558) and is be available in qua Blue, Satin Coral, and Mineral Grey color options.

Samsung Galaxy A02s and A12 Announced With 6.5" screens and 5,000 mAh battery

The Korean Giant -Samsung is struggling very hard to make its network more robust and Active by launching smartphones regularly. In a launch event today, Samsung has announced two new smartphones under the Galaxy-A series, which are named as Galaxy A02s and A12. The Galaxy A02s will be the successor or next generation of Galaxy A01, which was launched previously in December 2019. Simultaneously, Galaxy A12 will follow up with the Galaxy A11, which was introduced back in March 2019.

The 6.5-inch HD+ water-drop notch display comes with a triple rear camera setup, including a 13-MP primary camera + 2-MP depth sensor and a 2-MP Macro lens. On the front, there’s a 5-MP camera for selfies and video chats. It packs with octa-core processor based Snapdragon 450. Chipset and is clocked at 1.8GHz.


Unfortunately, the Galaxy A02s comes only in a single variant, i.e., 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. Furthermore, it can be expandable upto 1TB with a microSD card. There’s a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

  • Galaxy A02s comes only in a single variant – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, priced at EUR 150, which is approximately Rs. 13,183.

  • The device is available in Black and White color options, and the sale of the smartphone will start from January 2021.

The Galaxy A12 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1500 pixels of resolution. The device is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor, which is clocked at 2.3GHz. As stated by many rumors, the device could be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. It is available in 3/4/6GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB onboard storage. It also has external storage, which can be expandable upto 1TB with a microSD card.


In terms of camera, it packs a quad-rear camera, which assembles with a 48-MP primary camera + 5-MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2-MP macro lens and a 2-MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8-MP front-facing camera.


The device houses a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging support upto 15W. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Moreover, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

  • The device carries a price tag of EUR 179, which translates approximately to Rs. 15,732. Whereas, the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant costs around EUR 199 (Approx. Rs. 17,500).

Poco M3 launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC and Triple rear cameras

The Xiaomi owned Poco has today launched a new smartphone in it’s ‘M’ series which is named as Poco M3. Talking about the core features of the smartphone, it appears with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, waterdrop-style display notch, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The device sports a 6.53-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90.34 percent screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, the display of the smartphone is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. It powered by an Octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC Chipset. The Poco M3 is available in two variants – 4GB + 64GB Storage variant and 4GB + 128GB storage variant. Furthermore, it can be expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card.


In terms of camera, there’s a triple rear camera setup that includes 48-MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.79, 2-MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and 2-MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, it packs a 8-MP with a f/2.05 aperture.


Poco M3 runs MIUI 12 based Android 10 out of the box and equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging support. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack port. The smartphone weighs nearly 198 grams.

Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro starts receiving the Android 11 Stable update

After the successful rollout of the updates to many smartphones, Xiaomi has now started seeding out the Android 11 Stable update to both the Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones. The update is spinning out on the V12.2.1.0.RJACNXM Firmware version for the Mi 10 Pro and the V12.2.1.0.RJKCNXM Firmware version for the Redmi K30 Pro. As of now, the update is currently limited only to China and is expected to release shortly in all the other countries too.



What’s new?


Talking about the changelog, the update brings the new Android 11 goodness, features, changes and much more. Some of the major features include Conversation notification, Notification history, Chat bubbles, Screen recorder, Media controls, Dark theme scheduling and many more. However, as the Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro devices will be running on MIUI skin, you will not be able to experience all the features of Android 11.

Now, the company has finally started spinning out the MIUI 12 update for both the Redmi Note 7 and 7S smartphones. The update bears the V12.0.1.0.QFGINXM Firmware version and weighs nearly 476MB in size. The update size may vary if you haven’t installed the previous updates.

Samsung Galaxy A50s and A70 receiving One UI 2.5 update along with November 2020 Security patch

Samsung has started seeding out the One UI 2.5 update along with November 2020 Security patch to both Galaxy A50s and A70 smartphones. The update is rolling out on the A507FNXXU5CTK3 Firmware version for Galaxy A50s and A705FNXXU5CTK4 Build number for Galaxy A70. In terms of availability, the A70 update is currently limited only to the European markets and A50s update is limitedly rolling in Vietnam. However, it doesn’t take much time to release in other countries as the update already exists in Europe and Vietnam.

What’s new?


As per the changelog/release note, the update brings new WiFi and many new features like Bitmoji support on Always On Display, Keyboard Youtube search feature, Split Keyboard support on Landscape mode, etc. In the messages section, the update brings a new feature through which the users can call a person who’s contact is saved as pre-configured SOS message contact. Now, users can share location via SOS for every 30 minutes for 24 hours.


Talking about the new WiFi, the nearby WiFi router’s quality can be measured, and the information will be displayed as Very Fast, Fast, Normal, or Slow. However, you can also turn off this feature by navigating to the “Network Quality Information Display” section from settings. The other new WiFi feature allows users to request the password of nearby routers from nearby people who are saved in their contact list and connected to the respective router.


Apart from the features mentioned above, this software update might also include bug fixes for known/reported issues, improvements, enhancements, etc. The performance and stability of the smartphone are expected to be increased by this update.
