Myriad’s ‘Alien Dalvik’ virtual machine allows Android apps to run on Nokia n900, non-Android devices

Myriad, a member of the Open Handset Alliance, has just announced ‘Alien Dalvik’. Alien Dalvik makes it possible for “the majority” of unmodified Android apps to run on non-Android platforms. Myriad is also saying that the performance will not be compromised, as Alien Dalvik is built from the powerful Dalvik Turbo virtual machine.
Myriad will be talking more about this exciting project at Mobile World Congress starting next week with plans to officially release it later this year on MeeGo.
You can see a video of Android apps running on a Nokia n900 after the break
