Android 3.1 Update For Logitech Revue Rolling Out Now

Great news for all you Logitech Revue owners out there. The Android 3.1 Honeycomb update for the set top box has finally begun rolling out and is trickling down to users everywhere. Also known as “Google TV 2.0,” the update brings a refreshed new UI and the addition of the Android Market. The Logitech Revue finally feels like a true Android device. Whether you recently picked up the Revue at the discounted $100 price or have been a long time user/early adopter, this update comes as a very welcomed upgrade. I’m going to power up mine and see if I’m one of the lucky ones. Check yours and let us know if you’ve received it.

Motorola Xoom WiFi getting Android 3.1 update in Canada



Motorola has announced the availability of Android 3.1 for Xoom WiFi owners in Canada. This update will bring support for resizing widgets, use a Bluetooth headset during video chats and much more.
The software update includes:
  • Improved multi-tasking providing instant visual access to a larger number of applications

  • Support for USB-connected peripherals and accessories, such as keyboards, mice, game controllers and digital cameras

  • Expanded Bluetooth® features to support Bluetooth® headsets in Google Talk™ video chats, Bluetooth® mouse support, and additional shortcut keys with the Bluetooth® keyboard

  • SD Card support for up to 32GB expandable memory

  • Preloaded File Manager

  • Easy photo file transfer to a PC with the Picture Protocol Feature

Update has already started rolling out and will reach your device very soon.

T-Mobile Rolling Out 3.1 OTA Update for the LG G-Slate Starting Today


For all you crazy kids with an LG G-Slate from T-Mobile, you’ll be happy to know that the Android 3.1 update for the device is being rolled out starting today. You will be notified when the update is ready for your device or if you want to receive the update as soon as possible you can do so by manually checking for the update in your Settings. Here’s all the great new features you have to look forward to in Android 3.1:
  • Google Videos – A new Videos app has been added that allows you to buy and rent movies.

  • Recent apps list expanded – The recent apps list has been expanded to show all apps recently used. After opening the apps list, touch one of the apps to access it.

  • Home screen resizable widgets – Widgets built-in to Android 3.0 (Calendar, Email, Gmail, etc.) can now be resized vertically or horizontally on any one of the five home screens.

  • USB accessory support – Customers can now attach a keyboard, pointing device, or gamepad to the G-Slate for use with typing, gaming, etc.

Also, in addition to those typical 3.1 features users can also look forward to bug fixes and enhancements like force closes when using Google Talk and Music apps and improved browser and widget responsiveness. Let us know when you get the update!
