Google Releases Nexus Security Update for March 2016

After February and January Security Update, Google is little late this month but finally they are out with the latest Security update for Nexus devices.

Google has provided fix for the major Keyring vulnerability which has affected around 66% Android devices. Overall, if we count than Google has addressed 19 issues all over the OS. The March update for Android addresses six Critical issues, eight High issues, and two Moderate issues.

LG Stylus 2 Announcement Plans Rolls for Korean Market

LG Stylus 2 is going to be announced in the Korean Market. It is the successor of 2015 bound LG G4 Stylus. As per the news, LG Stylus 2 is going to be made available in the coming weeks for a price of 396,000 Korean Won (around $330).

LG Stylus 2 is going to come with color options of titanium, brown or white. LG Stylus 2 has packed a large 5.7-inch display running at a comparatively low 1280 x 720 resolution. The phone also packs 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, expandable via micro SD.  The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and packs an 8-megapixel front camera.


In connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB. It measures 155 x 79.6 x 7.4mm and weighs 145 grams. LG G Stylo is now sold in the US for around $290.


Currently no exact date is available for the launch.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is Launched in China with 20% Discount

The Latest Flagships of Samsung which are launched in MWC 2016. Today company launched both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge with 20% discount in China. Later in the day company will launch both the devices in India also.

Company has already taking pre-orders in US and UK. Moreover in US shipments are also starts. Samsung also giving Gear VR for free to the early adopters of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. It is evident that Samsung has been loosing market share in China that went recently down to 7.7% while Apple and Xiaomi gained at a staggering rate. These competitive pricing and activities could be a game changer because 20% is a big price difference clearly giving a good attention to Samsung for their new devices.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge 32 GB variants cost you around 4,888 Yuan ($750) and 5,688 Yuan ($873) in China, respectively. After the 20% discount, the two phones come down to 3,910 Yuan ($601) and 4,550 Yuan ($699), respectively.

Yahoo Mail App for Android gets an Update with better Customization options

Yahoo Mail app for android gets an Update to the version 5.3. The update comes with some new features and better customization options in the user interface of the app.

With this update the themes can be applied to all connected accounts including Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Outlook.com, Hotmail or AOL. Just head to Settings then Themes to change the color. Some of the new features are listed below.


  • Rename Accounts: Long-press any of your accounts in the account switcher to give them new names like “Personal” or “Work.”

  • Photo Options: Preview or save any photo or image you’ve received in a message by tapping on it. In compose, move any image between the message body and the attachment tray by pressing on the “…” on the image.

  • Subfolders and More: Long-press on any folder to rename it, delete it or create a subfolder.

  • Stars: In settings, enable tappable stars to see them in your inbox and other message lists. Also, don’t forget that you can set custom swipes, so you can star any message you like with just a swipe.

Sony Now Rolling out Android Marshmallow Globally to Xperia Z5 Series, Xperia Z3 Plus and Z4 Tablet

Sony is currently rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Xperia Z5 Series, Xperia Z3 Plus and Z4 Tablet. Earlier some days Xperia Z5 Series got Marshmallow update in Japan over docomo network. Now Sony is rolling out the update to global variants.

You will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Xperia Z4 Tablet, single-SIM Xperia Z3+ and the firmware build 32.1.A.1.163 is currently live across all variants of the Xperia Z5. Although Xperia Z3 Plus Dual Sim will get the update soon as reported on Xperiablog.

Xiaomi launches 10,000 mAh Mi Power Bank Prime with USB Type-C support

Xiaomi Today launched its Mi Power Bank Prime with 10,000 mAh capacity in China. It comes with USB Type-C support and fast charging capabilities. Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Prime is priced at ￥ 149 ($22).

As market is flooded with all sizes of Power Banks, So to compete with the existing power banks company gives the USB Type-c slot for charging and make Mi Power Bank Prime 42% thinner than their previous model. Moreover, Mi Power Bank has a power button, LED lights for battery level indication. Company says, it is capable of charging the Mi Note Pro fully in just 1.5 hours, compared to 2.3 hours using a standard 5V/2A charger or a regular power bank.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Coming to India on Tuesday, March 8

Samsung is all set to launch its recently annocuned Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge flagship device in India on Tuesday, March 8. Samsung annocuned new flagships at an Unpacked Event on 21st of February just ahead of MWC 2016.

Samsung is going to make both these devices under Dual SIM category and will be manufactured in India as a part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign. As per the source it is suggested that it is also going to be assembled in India.


Samsung Galaxy S7’s Indian Variant is going to be packed with Exynos 8890 SoC. Other details like pricing, etc will be made available tomorrow.

Google Project Loon Coming in India with Local telcos partnership

Google is going to test its Project Loon in India with telcos partnership. Today Google’s managing director of India, Rajan Anandan says in an interview to the Economic Times. “The actual provisioning of the service is done by a local telco. So, we’re talking to a number of local telcos, We can’t do a Loon pilot without partnering with a local telco.”

Almost all of us thinks of that the Internet as a global community. But two-thirds of the world’s population does not yet have Internet access. Project Loon is a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas, help fill coverage gaps in Network.

Company is trying to sort out things with the government to kickstart this project in the Country. In December 2014, company met first time with government authorities to address potential issues concerning to Project Loon transmissions interfering with cellular networks and to look into ways to work with existing telecom firms.


Google also working on the project to bring free Wi-Fi to 400 railway stations across the India. The first these went online in January and 99 more are expected to get online by the end of 2016.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are Launching in India on March 8th. Earlier on 21st February Samsung Announces both the devices in Barcelona. Both the devices are available for Pre-orders in US and UK and some carriers are also starts shipping.

Samsung will showcased its new flagship devices Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in New Delhi on 8th March and after that devices will be available in the market very soon. As Expected India is among the first countries to get Samsung’s new flagship devices.  Now coming to the Price we did not have any official word yet but according to the price in US and UK, Both the devices are expected to be priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000 at the time of the launch in India.
