Asus Zenfone Max M2 has started receiving the latest July security patch in India. The OTA update bears ZB632KL_IN_16.2018.2007.68 as the version number. Apart from the improved security nothing noticeable new in the update.

The update is rolling out in batches, it may take some days for the update to reach every Zenfone Max M2 out there. Well, you may manually check for the update by heading over to “System updates” in [Settings] >[System] to check if there is new firmware available. In case if you’d like to flash the full firmware, then grab the firmware from here. Note that, the full firmware isn’t available yet, so wait few days for the firmware to get released on Asus website.
Asus ZenFone Max M2 was launched in December 2018 & runs on Android 8.1 OS. The Smartphone recently received the Android 10 update which is incredible considering its price tag of around INR. 7,500 in India. The Smartphone is powered by 4×1.8 GHz, 4×1.8 GHz Octa-core core Qualcomm SDM632 Snapdragon 632 (14 nm) Processor. Comes with 3 GB and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 512 GB via a microSD card.
The Phone has a large 4000 mAh battery to support its 6.3-inch display having a resolution of 720 x 1520 at 267 pp. Asus ZenFone Max M2 boasts a dual primary camera of 13 + 2MP and 8MP front Camera. It also supports Face Detection and high dynamic range(HDR) imaging.
