Back in 2019, Xiaomi had launched the Mi 9 Pro 5G in China. The device was part of Xiaomi's flagship Mi 9 line-up. The brand launched the device with MIUI 12. Since then it has received the MIUI 12 update last year in June. The company has now started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update to Mi 9 Pro 5G in China. The MIUI 12.5 update for Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G comes as firmware version V12.5.1.0.RFXCNXM. To recall, Xiaomi has already started pushing MIUI 12.5 to various devices such as Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, Redmi K30 4G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and so on.

This update is based on Android 11. It is being rolled out in batches in China. However, users who know how to manually flash the update can do by downloading the recovery ROM from here. Others can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
