[Update: July 2021 Security Patch] Galaxy Tab Active 3 Update Tracker

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Tab Active 3 last year in September with Exynos 9810 chipset. The phone features an 8.0-inch PLS IPS display paired with up to 128GB storage and 4GB RAM. Under the hood, it powers Android 10 based One UI 2.5 out of the box. The phone equips a 13MP rear camera sensor and a 10MP selfie shooter.

  • [July 7th, 2021]: Samsung is sending the current security maintenance, July 2021 to the Galaxy Tab Active 3. As of now, the build is limited to Hong Kong, while the units in other regions will get a similar treatment in the next few days. The latest update carries the firmware version T575XXS3BUF2 that addresses the Android Auto bug. Moreover, it also carries fixes for some privacy and security-related issues.


As usual, the OTA update is having a staged rollout. You can either wait for a pop-up notification regarding the new build or check it manually. To give it a self-check, head over to the Settings app > Software update and tap on Download and install. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.

Samsung sends Android 11 based One UI 3.1 to Galaxy A20s

Samsung guaranteed two major OS updates and four years of update support for all its flagships. Keeping its words, the company is sending the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11 to the Galaxy A20s. The device was launched a couple of years back with Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

The latest software for the Galaxy A20s can be identified by the firmware version A207FXXU2CUFA. As of now, the build is unfurling in Malaysia, while the units in other regions will also get similar treatment soon. Apart from the latest stable channel and skin, the package also brings the June 2021 security patch.

Concerning changes, the users will experience all-new Android 11 goodies tossed with the One UI 3.1 skin. Android 11 brings a refreshed UI, chat bubbles, one-time permissions, smart device controls, and much more to your device. Furthermore, the One UI 3.1 skin includes improvements for Toolbars, Settings, Quick Panel, Notifications,  better privacy control over apps, and a lot more.

According to Samsung’s documentation, the June 2021 patch includes over 60 fixes. From these, 47 fixes are from Google and 19 from Samsung, including the ones that have been marked as critical.

Keep in note that Galaxy A20s was launched in 2019 with Android 9 Pie and this is the second major OS update for the device. Therefore, this is the last major OS update for the device. After this update, the phone will only receive the regular security patch levels.

The OTA update is having a phase-wise rollout in Malaysia. Accordingly, it may take some time to hit all the Galaxy A20s units. But, as always, you can manually check for the build via Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates.

The arrival of Motorola Aruba 21 on FCC documentation reveals its model number XT2155-1. Furthermore, the listing does not divulge much information apart from the battery capacity and connectivity options available onboard.
Regarding connectivity, the phone equips LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Plus, the Motorola Aruba 21 supports the presence of FM Radio. Noticing that the smartphone does not have a 5G or NFC cutout, it could probably be a budget offering.

Xiaomi Mi 11i is receiving a new software update with MIUI 12.5

Xiaomi's new skin, MIUI 12.5 is promptly making way for more devices. In fact, the company is moving ahead of its update schedule for some devices. The latest handset to join the long list is the Xiaomi Mi 11i. The smartphone was released in May 2021 powering Android 11 based MIUI 12 on top.

Xiaomi sends stable MIUI 12.5 update to Poco X3 Pro

Xiaomi has buckled up its speed to release its latest stable skin for its flagships. So far, a handful of devices have bagged the new software update. Presently, the Poco X3 Pro is the latest device to grab the MIUI 12.5 update. The device was debuted in March 2021 with Android 11 based MIUI 12.

Samsung extends the Android 11 update for Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) to more markets

A couple of weeks back, Samsung released the latest stable channel to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) units in Vietnam. As expected, the company is unfurling the Android 11 update to the device in more regions. The tab was launched in 2019 with Android 9 Pie pre-installed.

The latest software is arriving for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 units with model numbers SM-T515 and SM-T515N. The update is live in South Korean, European, and Asian markets on firmware versions T515NKSU8CUF6 andT515XXU8CUF4. While other dozen territories will also bag the package soon. Talking about changes, the build brings June 2021 security patch along with Android 11 goodies.



The latest stable channel drives a refreshed UI design, one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, smart media and device controls, and much more. Moreover, the update adds enhancements, optimizations, features, and improvements to the system for a more seamless experience.


Alongside, the firmware adds the ability to remove GPS location data from images and brings easier access to smart home controls. After flashing an update, you will notice changes in your Play Store account. Firstly, all items in the list will be present inside a pill-shaped card. Also, the color is changed to grey, making it more compact and easier to read with less stress on the eyes. Secondly, the search button on the main home screen is now housed in a white circle, instead of green.

Thirdly, there is a card-based motif on the My Apps updates page. Placing everything in a card makes your screen less shaky, making it more clear and convenient to use. Lastly, the “Open” button is again pill-shaped, light, and stretches to the entire display.
