Xiaomi Mi 11X India Variant start receiving MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition

Xiaomi is successfully rolling out the enhanced version of MIUI 12.5 to its eligible flagship. Most of the devices from the Mi 11 series have bagged this update. And now the new package is unfurling to the Indian variants of Mi 11X.

The MIUI 12.5 enhanced edition is rolling out in a stable phase via the firmware version Stable V12.5.5.0.RKHINXM. According to the changelog, the update brings fixes and optimizations in the lock screen, status bar, and notification shade. On the top, the extensive features of the new skin will be a major part of the update.

OnePlus & Oppo unified OS to debut with OnePlus 10 flagship in 2022

In June 2021, OnePlus and Oppo decided to unify and develop a common operating system. The fusion will be seen in results next year with the launch of the OnePlus 10 flagship. The companies confirmed that next year, the lineup will be the first time that their inventory will boost the new software.

Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO mentioned that apart from the upcoming flagships, the new operating system will also make way for the eligible existing lineups. Also, he said that the software will be based on Google’s upcoming Android 13.

For a recall, OnePlus previously said that despite the integration of the customized skin, the companies will operate independently. However, a new blog post mentions a different story. It says that the ‘unified’ operating system on upcoming devices will more or less OxygenOS.
"After careful consideration, we have decided to integrate the Oxygen OS and Color OS teams to plan the future software experience together," says the post.

Pete Lau assures the users to get a clean and lightweight experience with the new OS. He further mentions, "I believe that the unified operating system will keep the DNA of Oxygen OS that many of you love so much while also giving you an upgraded experience overall. And of course, OnePlus has a unique group of users, therefore we will customize the unified OS specifically for OnePlus devices to make sure it meets your expectations.”

Moreover, the CEO has officially made a statement that says "The unified operating system experience will first launch on the 2022 flagship and then further across devices globally with the major Android update in 2022."

VLC 3.4 update for Android brings bookmarks and an enhanced audio player

Earlier this year, the VideoLAN project announced that VLC will get a major overhaul this year on the occasion of its 20th ceremony. The expected version to arrive was VLC 4.0, nevertheless, the platform is receiving an update for Android bumping the version to VLC 3.4.

The new VLC 3.4 is the fourth major release of VLC 3 that brings numerous new features that include a better audio player, bookmarks, and more. As the name suggests, the bookmark feature will allow the user to add bookmarks to the media and immediately start playback where they left off. Realme 5 Pro & Realme XT grab Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 update

The new package is bundled with the firmware version RMX1971EX_11.F.03 for the Realme 5 Pro. Whereas the number differs to RMX1921EX_11.F.03 for the Realme XT. The official changelog is yet to be published but it will optimize the system performance and improves the system stability.

For the Google Pixel 6, the listed models are GLU0G and G8VOU. While for the Pro variant, the model number is G9S9B and GB7N6. The listing confirms some connectivity options onboard for smartphones including NFC and wireless power transfer.

Precisely, it confirms the support for 5G mmWave and ultra-wideband (UWB) for some models of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. While all the variants of the smartphones will have WiFi 6E (6GHz WiFi) support. FYI, UWB is a short-range wireless communication protocol that is used to track the location of nearby objects.

With all the hype and listing, the Pixel 6 series is getting closer to its launch. Though Google has not shared its plan for the launch event. If the company follows the typical schedule, the duo will arrive sometime between September end and October starting. However, some leaks also suggest the launch date is October 19.

Telegram adds new features: chat themes, interactive emoji, and more

  • [March 9, 2021]: The Galaxy Tab S7+ recently receive One UI 3.1 update.
