Samsung Capture v4.8.04.2 reports crash of scrolling screenshot function

Samsung Capture is an official screenshot app for Galaxy devices that allows users to take screenshots easily. The platform often receives new updates but the recent Samsung Capture v4.8.04.2 seems to create problems for some users.

The recent update for Samsung Capture v4.8.04.2 bought some unknown changes as the company did not issue an official changelog. But we do know about bugs that are hindering the user experience. Some users who have updated the platform to the latest version are facing unwanted problems. Here are some of the reviews.
After the latest update, scrolling screenshots now have the preview of the screenshot along the side of the left side of the captured image. It’s inconsistent down the length of the picture, ruining the screenshots I try to take. (Which are pretty important pieces of writing advice! The words are covered and unreadable thanks to the preview.) Is there a fix to this?Scrolling screenshot doesn’t work properly? (Text getting cut off, preview not omitted)

There is something wrong with my screenshots as of lately and when I take one screenshot, the tools are in the way and when I try to screenshot a whole page or article. It’s been like this since September. Do I need to empty my storage?

If it helps, some affected users have mentioned that switching back to the previous versions of the app is a temporary fix for the issue. However, it is not recommended to stick to an older version because of security vulnerabilities and other concerns. But you can try this in the meanwhile.
I found a solution and would like to let people know who are having the same issues/ and Samsung know. If someone is having this issue, go to apps Samsung capture and uninstall the update (top right 3 dots)

The edit date and time feature must be basic but it is useful for some users. Keep in note that the option is only available for the devices running One UI 4.0 beta. The smartphones running Android 11 or earlier versions will probably get this with future updates.

To adjust the details, you simply have to open the image or video > swipe up on it to see the details > tap on the small arrow at the right side of the screen > Edit > tap on the date bar at the top of the screen.

Apart from this, there are more than 60 new features on the One UI 4.0 beta for Galaxy S21 series. To name a few, this includes new camera zoom animations, improvements in Samsung Keyboard, quick toggles, Always On Display, and a whole lot more providing a seamless user experience!

Google will set up “Quick Phrases” to trigger Assistant without “Hey Google”

The Quick Phrases feature was spotted on Pixel 3 XL smartphones running Android 12 Beta version 12.39.17.29. This also creates confusion if the feature is exclusive to the latest operating system. Anyway, in order to experience the feature, you need to activate it via Assistant settings. After toggling the button, the Google Assistant will listen to certain phrases depending on the situation.

[gallery link="none" size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" ids="119965,119964,119963"]

In short, it puts the Assistant on standby. For instance, you can simply say “Answer” to pick up an incoming call or reject it by saying “Decline.” Similarly, you can stop or turn off the alarm by saying “Stop” or “Snooze.” In any case, you don't have to lead the command with “Hey Google” anymore.

Additionally, some other similar commands are likely to accompany the list of Quick Phrases. This could include regular orders like “Cancel the alarm,” “Send a broadcast,” “What’s the weather?,” “Turn up the volume,” and “Pause the music.”

Also, Google Assistant will remind you that you can skip saying “Hey Google.” It will display a small bar beneath the notification for alarms/timers and incoming phone calls.

The feature will warn the users when a conversation might get intense or heat up. It will promote quality engagement and will alert users against any fierce conversation. When you click the prompt, the app will take you to the guidelines that will assist you to navigate the conversation respectfully.

FYI, Twitter teased the feature in September along with other new traits that the company is rolling out. The microblogging site officially announced that the new feature will make way for Android and iOS platforms on Wednesday.

Though the question is how Twitter will determine when to show this prompt or if it is always correct. Here's what the company has to say about it:
"The criteria we use to determine which conversations will show this prompt may change as we learn from this test.We may consider the Tweet topic and the relationship between the Tweet author and replier."

The company has been on a mission to promote engagement in a rough place like social media. This upcoming feature will keep the users away from any intense conversation that will make them feel more comfortable and foster a safe environment.
