Poco M4 Pro 5G arrives on Geekbench with Dimensity 700 SoC

Earlier this year, Xiaomi unveiled the Poco M3 Pro in India. The device is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10T 5G in China. It seems that the successor smartphone is around the corner. The Poco M4 Pro 5G has visited several certifications including Geekbench. Here is what we know about the upcoming device.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Poco M4 Pro 5G will bear the model number 21091116AC for the Chinese variants. The device scored 603 in the single-core test and 1779 in Geekbench’s and multi-core tests. The listing further divulges some key specs including processor, operating system, and more.

The Chinese variant of the Poco M4 Pro 5G on Geekbench will draw power from the Dimensity 700 SoC. Also, the device will boost Android 11 out of the box. With this operating system, we can expect it to arrive with MIUI 12.5 on top. Though the listed variant will offer 8GB RAM, the device could debut in a 6GB variant as well.



Before the Geekbench listing, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was also spotted on TENAA featuring a 6.6-inch screen. The panel offers a Full HD+ OLED display and a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. The device will measure 8.75mm in thickness and weigh 195 grams.

A 4,900 mAh battery will back up the Poco M4 Pro 5G. Furthermore, the device will be available in various color variants— Orange, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, White, Grey, and many more.

Apart from these, the other details like camera quality, connectivity options are still undercover. Though some leaks are suggesting the presence of a triple camera module led by a 50 MP primary lens.

YouTube Music widget gets inspired by new Material You design

Google has updated almost all of its app with Material You design language. Now the company is shifting its focus to the widget section. This time, there are two new Material You inspired YouTube Music widgets— Now Playing and Recently played.

FYI, the new theme was already available on iOS. On the day when Android 12 was released, Google previewed the widgets on the official Twitter account of YouTube Music. And now it is finally enabled.



Now Playing and Recently played widgets use a 4x2 grid by default. But you can expand it width-wise and get a larger grid size. Though the content displayed will be the same in both sizes. At the top of the widget, you can see the currently playing song followed by the like and play/pause buttons. Under these controls, you can see and dplay your recently played tracks directly from your home screen.

Now that we have access to easy controls and recent songs, we hope to see more media controls shortly. Also, we are not sure when these widgets will release for everyone, but it could be anytime soon.

You can now transfer WhatsApp chat history from iOS to any Android device

WhatsApp enabled the users to migrate chat history between iOS and Android devices a few months back. But initially, the Android devices only referred to Samsung smartphones. Finally, the feature is now available for every Android smartphone. That means you can now transfer WhatsApp chat history from iOS to any Android device.

Earlier, in case the user wanted to shift the operating systems, they would have to depend on some third-party apps. But it isn't the case anymore as Google revealed this information via its official blog post. The users shifting from iPhone to Android can quickly migrate their chat history through a Lighting To USB Type-C cable and a QR code.

However, currently, the feature only works on smartphones running the latest stable channel, Android 12. In short, it means only Pixel smartphone users can use this feature as of now. Also, besides Samsung, no other brand has released a stable Android 12 update for their flagship.

The other smartphone brands will start releasing Android 12 updates to their eligible smartphones by the end of this year. This implies that more handsets will become compatible with the new WhatsApp chat history migration tool soon.

Adobe Photoshop makes way to the browser, RAW support to the iPad

Adobe announced updates for its entire suite of apps at the virtual Max conference that occurred on October 26–28. Out of all, the major announcement is for the Photoshop app. The platform has now made its way to the web browser and added RAW support to the iPad. 1900 port number

However, the web version of the Adobe Photoshop app has limited editing options. But, you can store PSDs in the cloud, share a link to collaborators and review and comment in a new commenting panel that will sync with Photoshop on desktop.



Further, the desktop version of Adobe Photoshop has a new smart object masking feature. All you need to do is hover over an object. The Sensei AI machine learning will isolate it in a new mask. You can also adjust it locally. In the case of multiple objects, you need to select Mask All Objects to generate masks under the Layer option.



Besides the web version, Photoshop on the iPad also got a huge update. After the update, the app will support RAW files from the entire Adobe Camera RAW list and Apple ProRAW files from the iPhone 12 and 13. Moreover, it offers several other options including Sky Replacement, Healing Brush, and Magic Wand to make your editing experience seamless on iPad.



Under the Landscape Mixer section, you can generate different landscape seasons in a blink. Also, the feature will mask and harmonize people in the scene to let them sync with the place.
