Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Z Fold 3 get One UI 4.0 Beta program in Korea

A couple of days back, Samsung announced the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 Beta program for Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Galaxy Z Fold 3. The company has initiated the program starting from its home country, South Korea. The interested users in the country can start registering to see the new features of One UI 4.0.

According to the Community Manager on the Samsung Members forum, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 users in South Korea can register in the program. The One UI 4.0 beta program is live for both unlocked units and carrier-locked (LG Uplus, KT, and SKT) variants of the foldable devices.



However, the Thom Browne versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are not eligible for this update. Samsung is expected to open the program for these variants and in other markets in the upcoming weeks. Meanwhile, here is how Korean users can join the beta update group.


How to register for the One UI 4.0 Beta test?



  1. Open the Samsung Members app.

  2. Click on the One UI 4.0 banner. (under the main screen or Notices section)

  3. Scroll down and tap on enroll button to complete the registration process.


Once you are done enrolling, you can download the Android 12 One UI 4.0 beta update by simply heading to the Settings app > Software update > Download and install.

Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 get new features via new software update

Though this update is not major, it does bring some practical features that add to the pile of attributes it already offers. Both Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 are getting two new features status indicators and outdoor exercise mode.

The status indicators could always save a few extra seconds as they will allow the user to monitor the battery, see whether the device is connected to a phone or not, manage the do not disturb or sleep mode settings.

Moreover, the OS 5.3 update adds the outdoor exercise mode, which the user can look for under the Exercise app. As the name suggests, it will help you to track outdoor activities like skating, kayaking, skiing, hiking, and a lot more.

The update will arrive as on OTA on your Fitbit Sense and Versa 3. Thus, it can take a couple of weeks to reach all smartwatch units. In another case, the company asked the users to check the Fitbit app in a few days. Thereafter, you will see a message when the OS will be available on your wearable and you can install the update.

In January 2021, Xiaomi spin-off sub-brand Redmi introduced two devices— Redmi 9T and Redmi Note 9T. The devices feature an IPS LCD panel with a 6.53-inch size and a Water-repellent coating on top. Asus starts Android 12 beta program for Zenfone 8 Flip

Recently Asus shared its Android 12 roadmap. According to the timeline, the company will release the stable Android 12 update for the Zenfone 8 Flip in December 2021. Meanwhile, Asus has finally initiated the Android 12 beta program for the device.

Samsung is expanding the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 beta to more devices. After Galaxy S21 series, the new foldable are eligible to get the package. The beta program is now live for both Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 unlocked variants.

Poco M4 Pro 5G arrives on Geekbench with Dimensity 700 SoC

Earlier this year, Xiaomi unveiled the Poco M3 Pro in India. The device is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10T 5G in China. It seems that the successor smartphone is around the corner. The Poco M4 Pro 5G has visited several certifications including Geekbench. Here is what we know about the upcoming device.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Poco M4 Pro 5G will bear the model number 21091116AC for the Chinese variants. The device scored 603 in the single-core test and 1779 in Geekbench’s and multi-core tests. The listing further divulges some key specs including processor, operating system, and more.

The Chinese variant of the Poco M4 Pro 5G on Geekbench will draw power from the Dimensity 700 SoC. Also, the device will boost Android 11 out of the box. With this operating system, we can expect it to arrive with MIUI 12.5 on top. Though the listed variant will offer 8GB RAM, the device could debut in a 6GB variant as well.



Before the Geekbench listing, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was also spotted on TENAA featuring a 6.6-inch screen. The panel offers a Full HD+ OLED display and a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. The device will measure 8.75mm in thickness and weigh 195 grams.

A 4,900 mAh battery will back up the Poco M4 Pro 5G. Furthermore, the device will be available in various color variants— Orange, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, White, Grey, and many more.
