Samsung is rolling out a new update to Galaxy Buds+ and Buds Pro

It's been a long time since Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds+ and the Galaxy Buds Pro. But the company never fails to release timely updates that add new features and improve the overall experience. In the latest news, the earbuds are receiving the wear detection feature that will serve during voice calls.

Earlier this month, the same update was rolling out in South Korea. Finally, the package is leaving the region and is rolling out to more countries including Germany and the Netherlands. If the build has not made it to your country yet, it is anticipated to be available for worldwide users by the end of this year.

Though the changelog doesn’t mention much, the major addition here is the wear detection feature. Also, it claims to improve system stability and reliability for a polished user experience. You can download the software via the Wearable app on your connected smartphones. It can be identified by the firmware version R1xxXXU0AUK1 weighing only 2.3MB in size.

For the unawares, the wear detection feature functions during phone calls as it automatically detects the wearing status of the buds. When connected to a device, the user can pause/resume the audio playback and switch the audio modes between the earbuds. It means that once an earbud is removed, the owner can choose which speaker a voice call is using.

OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro users are again facing bugs after OxygenOS 12 update

Earlier this month, OnePlus released the stable OxygenOS 12 update for the OnePlus 9 series. However, the software was infused with glitches due to which the company had to suspend the rollout. Soon, the brand made it to the users and the rollout began again. Unfortunately, this time as well, the package is not so stable as users have started to report bugs, again!

OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro Pro are the first devices from the company to receive the stable OxygenOS 12 update. However, the users who have flashed the OxygenOS 12 on their respective phones are reporting several issues. In fact, there are complaints on all platforms including Reddit, Twitter, and even the OnePlus forums.

Though the bugs are not major if compared to the previous software, still it is inconvenient to the user. The list of problems includes trouble making and receiving calls, inability to customize, poor animations, broken Autofill feature, slower Wi-Fi speed, and so on.

Reddit Reports:

I can’t change icons individually, I can’t personalize status bar (hour with seconds, disabling battery icon, etc), my main screen is messed up, KWGT widgets look horrible, I can’t disable Google feed… Everything looks horrible. I’m so disappointed.

Edit: the only thing I think actually improved is the camera app interface. Looks cleaner and easier to use.
Edit 2: ok, so it seems that they also removed the feature to answer messages while watching a video (with the split screen), something that they literally proudly announced before. This keeps getting worse.

Twitter Reports:
I installed it and now my banking apps don’t work and there are several other bugs especially with switching between Bluetooth devices

OnePlus Forums Reports:
I don’t think this is stable, people are encountering bugs.

OnePlus had a very big post for XPAN feature but they can’t even explain new features in a major update like android 12.
There’s no mention of camera UI changes from OOS11 to OOS12
Nothing about battery, speed, system. They didn’t even tell that they have changed battery UI and that now includes HIGH PERFORMANCE MODE.
They didn’t had a post for OOS12OB3.

I never say things like this but this time I think, ONEPLUS IS evolving. JUST BACKWARDS.

We hope that OnePlus will look into the matter soon and genuinely polish OxygenOS 12 this time. Also, let us know if you are facing such issues in the comment section below.
