Realme GT 2 Pro teased officially to launch in India soon

Realme GT 2 Pro was launched in its home country last month as the first-ever flagship smartphone by the company. At that time, Realme confirmed that the device will soon make way for international markets. Eventually, the phone is officially teased to debut in India shortly.

The CEO of Realme India, VP of Realme, and President of Realme International Business Group, Madhav Sheth verified the news. Though the device is teased, the exact launch date is still a secret. But, it should be happening soon as the words have spread by the company itself.

Talking about the specifications, the Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch LPTO AMOLED display. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2K resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels, and up to 1400 nits peak brightness.

Underneath, the device draws its juices from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. On the software front, it delivers Android 12 OS on day one along with Realme UI on top.

For optics, the Realme GT 2 Pro carries a 32 MP front-facing shooter and a triple camera island at back. The capacity of rear lenses stands at 50 MP wide, 50 MP ultrawide, and a 3 MP macro lens.

A 5,000mAh battery supported by a 65W fast charging will back up the entire system. In addition, Realme claims that the device will get fully charged within 33 minutes.

A few months back, Google released the Android 12 OS that is considered as the "major overhaul to Android in years." Even though there are a plethora of smartphones waiting to get the latest stable operating system, Google has started working on the next iteration. The first developer preview of Android 13 is live for the supported Pixel devices.

For the unaware, Developer Preview is a public program that allows developers to explore and test the unreleased features of the upcoming Android version. Also, the build is loaded with bugs, so, it is not recommended to daily users. Anyway, the Android 13 DP1 is available for Pixel 4 and the following devices, including the Pixel 6 series.

Asus ROG Phone 5s series to launch in India on February 15

Last year in August, Asus unveiled the ROG Phone 5s series in the home country. The gaming smartphones, ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro are now scheduled to debut in India on February 15.

Both ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro share common specifications. However, the former variant features an RGB light panel on the rear panel. Meanwhile, the Pro version sports a PMOLED display and two additional touch sensors.

The smartphones feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone offers stereo speakers for entertainment. To serve connectivity, they have a 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 x USB Type-C ports,5G connectivity, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and an ultrasonic shoulder triggers onboard.

Under the hood, they draw power from Snapdragon 888+ chipset paired with up to 18 GB RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. On the software front, the ROG Phone 5s models will boost Android 11 OS on day one along with ROG UI on top.

In the optics department, the lineup carries a 24 MP front-facing camera. On the other side, there's a pair of 13 MP and 5 MP additional snappers alongside the 64 MP primary shooter. A 6,000mAh battery will back up the ROG Phone 5s lineup supported by 65W of fast charging.

Asus is yet to confirm the pricing and availability for the Indian market. Some leaks suggest that the series may start with a basic price of ₹49,999.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G teased; Launch set for February 17

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G was tipped to launch on February 11. Well, the information stands false as the company delivered a piece of different news. Today, OnePlus India teased the upcoming smartphone and confirmed that it will debut on February 17.

The teaser video by Oneplus provides a glimpse of the Nord CE 2 5G's design. We can see that the top-left corner of the smartphone will feature a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie cam. On the other side, there's a rectangular module vertically aligned. The island carries three camera lenses and a LED flash.

In addition, the video shows that OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will hold the volume keys on the left edge, while the power button is placed on the right-side frame. Check out the official clip below:

Unfortunately, the company has still kept the specification under wrap. But the company did verify that the Nord CE 2 5G will support 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charging. Also, it will carry a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom bar.

Android 12L Beta 3 rolling out for Pixel smartphones

Last year in December, Google started releasing the Android 12L Beta to the supported pixel smartphones. The process has now reached its third stage. To mention, Android 12L is not the next version of Android, but a “feature drop for Android 12.”

The Android 12L Beta 3 upgrade is compatible with Pixel 3a (XL) or later devices are eligible to flash the version. Precisely, the list of devices includes Pixel 3a (XL), Pixel 4 (XL), Pixel 4aPixel 4a 5GPixel 5, Pixel 5aPixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro.

You can get the Tab S8 and S8+ in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver color options. The devices are available in two storage variants of 128 GB and 256 GB paired with 8 GB and 12 GB RAM respectively. Whereas, the Tab S8 Ultra will be available in a single Graphite shade and three memory options: 128 GB + 8 GB, 256 GB + 12 GB, and 512 GB + 16 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series is live for pre-orders. The shipping will begin from February 25 in the selected markets including the US, Europe, and South Korea.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series launched with Android 12 based One UI 4.1

Samsung has finally launched the much-awaited Galaxy S22 series. Like the predecessor, the lineup includes three smartphones: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Let's check out the smartphones in detail.

The Galaxy S22 series shares a few common specs including the Android 12 OS paired with One UI 4.1 on top. Under the helm, they run the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200, depending upon the market. The panels of the smartphones are equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Also, they are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the rear is guarded by Armor Aluminium. Moto G Pro receives Android 12 update in the UK

Last year in December, Motorola shared a list of smartphones that are eligible to get the Android 12 update. The company said that the rollout will begin in February 2022, but there was no specific date provided. Adhering to its words, the Lenovo-owned firm is sending the latest operating system to the Moto G Pro with My UX on top.

The Android 12 based My UX package is rolling out for the model number XT2043-7. The build is currently live in the UK bundled with the firmware version S0PR32.44-11-8. Hopefully, the other regions will also get the new software soon.

For the record, the Moto G Pro is also known as Moto G Stylus in the USA. The device was launched in 2020 with Android 10 OS out of the box. Anyway, it's surprising to see that instead of higher-end smartphones, like Edge 20 series, the Moto G Pro is getting the latest build.
