We can say that Galaxy M53 5G is a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy A53. The smartphone is built around a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display featuring a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The panel offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the cutout on the front screen houses a 32 MP camera for selfies and video calls. On the other side, it carries a massive 108 MP quad-camera island. The other sensors include an 8 MP ultrawide shooter and a couple of 2 MP snappers to measure macro and depth aspects.

Galaxy M53 5G

Under the helm, the Galaxy M53 5G draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. The device is available in a sole 128 GB/ 6 GB RAM storage configuration, which is quite disappointing. Anyway, we can always rely on the RAM Plus feature and external memory. For software, it comes pre-installed with Android 12 along with a layer of One UI 4.1 on top.

A 5,000 mAh power cell runs the Galaxy M53 5G with a 25W fast charging support. The other specifications include sub-6GHz 5G, dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Availability and Price

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will arrive in Blue, Brown, and Green color variants. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal the pricing and availability details yet. Although we expect it launch in some Asian and European countries.

Samsung Galaxy S5 can get Android 12L unofficially via LineageOS 19.1

Google made Android 12L official last month. At the same time, the official source code was released in AOSP as well. Since then, the developers have started building the OS on their own. Well, thanks to such codes, your eight years old Samsung Galaxy S5 can now taste Android 12L.

Samsung keeps its consumer benefits in terms of updates. So far, it has sent Android 12 OS to every eligible device. However, there are still some older series that are left behind, because they don’t fit with Samsung’s firmware update policy. Accordingly, these devices can not receive the new update officially. But, as we know Android is open-source software, so there are methods via which users of older series can also grab the new operating system version.

This time, the Galaxy S5 users can receive a taste of Android 12L through an unofficial LineagesOS 19.1 build. However, keep in mind that the build is for the Snapdragon 801-powered LTE variant. In fact, there are separate builds for the “klte” (SM-G900F/M/R4/R7/T/V/W8), “kltechn” (SM-G9006V/8V), and the “klteduos” (SM-G900FD/MD) variants.
