[Update: May 2022 Security Patch] Samsung Galaxy A23 Updates Tracker

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A23 smartphone in March 2022. The device runs on Android 12 OS out of the box along with One UI 4.1 on top.   • [May 19, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy A23 is getting a new update in some European countries, including Germany and Russia. The build arrives on firmware version A235FXXU1AVE4 and it packs the May 2022 security patch. Also, it might carry some general bug fixes and device stability improvements as well.


As usual, the OTA update is having a staged rollout. You can either wait for a pop-up notification or check it manually. To give it a self-check, head over to the Settings app > Software update and tap on Download and install. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.

A few months back, Poco unveiled the Poco F4 GT in the global markets. It seems like the company is preparing to introduce a new X-series smartphone with the GT moniker– the Poco X4 GT. The Xiaomi 12 series was launched globally this year in March. The lineup includes three smartphones: Xiaomi 12Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X. It seems like the company is working to add a new device to the family. Reportedly, the Xiaomi 12S Pro has managed to leak online, revealing some of its key specifications. The Xiaomi 12S Pro is anticipated to arrive in the second half of the year with some incremental upgrades over the earlier phones. According to the leaks, the smartphone will feature a 2K LTPO 2.0 micro curve display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is similar to Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Further, the rumors claim that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will draw power from an upgraded Snapdragon flagship chipset under the hood. This could be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset which is set to debut on May 20 in China.
