Ahead of the official launch, we already have a pretty good idea about the Poco X4 GT, thanks to the major certifications. The phone will sit over the Poco X3 GT that was launched last year. Also, it will be the second handset under the Poco X4 lineup, including the Poco X4 Pro 5G that was launched a few months back.

https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1537629161014951936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1537629161014951936%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2F2022%2F06%2F17%2Fpoco-x4-gt-on-uaes-tdra-database%2F

At the upfront, the Poco X4 GT will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD screen which is IP53 rated for dust and splash resistance. The panel will offer a 144Hz refresh rate, a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Underneath, the phone will draw power from the Dimensity 8100 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. In addition, the Poco X4 GT will come pre-installed with Android 12 OS tossed with MIUI 13 skin iteration on top.

Last month, the Android 13 Developer Preview Program went live for the OnePlus 10 Pro. The Android 13 Beta 2 intended to brush off the bugs and glitches present in the previous build for a more polished experience.

Like before, this program is also meant for the developers and other advanced users. These early adopters play around with the software to create a better user experience. In order to start testing the second beta, the user needs to go through the first Android 13 Beta version as well.

With Android 13 Beta 2, "we've fixed some of the most common issues to let you experience a more stable version of Android 13 in advance" says OnePlus. Here are some of these problems that are fixed in the latest build. Also, it integrates the May 2022 security patch to enhance privacy.

Changelog

  • System

    • [Fixed] the issue that Data usage cannot display

    • [Fixed] the issue of crash when turning off/on 5G network

    • [Fixed] the issue that unable to close all background programs

    • [Fixed] the issue that the lock screen password was required to enter the launcher after restoring factory settings

    • [Updated] Android security patch to 2022.05

  • Camera

    • [Optimized] the overall shooting effect of the camera, improved the user experience

Most importantly, before flashing the build, make sure the battery level is above 30% and a minimum of 4GB of storage space is available.

Although the Bets 2 resolves some glitches present in Beta 1, it is still an unstable build. Therefore, this firmware will also be loaded with lots of bugs that hinder the user experience. Therefore, we do not recommend regular users flash custom ROMs. In addition, some of these issues are already mentioned by the company:

Known Issues

  1. UI display sometimes might be abnormal

  2. Music playing cannot be paused normally via wired headphones

  3. Occasional abnormal response for gesture operation when the screen was off

  4. No response when tapping the video call button

  5. Auto brightness sometimes works abnormally

  6. Crash issue when setting the Fingerprint animation in Personalizations

  7. Lagging issue caused by switching screen refresh rate

  8. Some applications might be lost after upgrading

For guidance on how to install the OxygenOS 13-based Android 13 Beta 2 follow the official OnePlus community forum page. Also, the website will assist you to roll back to Android 12 in case the program is not suitable for you.
