Samsung Galaxy F13 with Exynos 850 SoC launched in India for ₹11,999

Samsung has unveiled the late st F series smartphone in the Indian market dubbed galaxy F13. The phone was leaked a couple of months back revealing its key details. It sits over the Galaxy F12 that was launched back in April 2021. Here's a closer look at the latest entry-level handset by the company.

Samsung Galaxy F13 features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS screen with a waterdrop notch display. The panel offers a 60Hz refresh rate and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 protection. A 6,000 mAh battery keeps the screen lightened up with a 15W charging speed support. In addition to this, there's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner to serve security.

Underneath, the Galaxy F13 powers the in-house octa-core Exynos 850 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Moreover, an additional 4GB of virtual RAM can be added, thanks to the RAM Plus feature. on the software front, the phone comes pre-installed with Android 12 along with One UI 4.0 on top.

In terms of camera, the Galaxy F13 carries an 8MP snapper at the front for selfies and video chats. At the back, there's a triple rear camera setup. The capacity of the module stands at a 50MP main lens, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle unit, and a 2MP depth snapper.

The Galaxy F13 will go on sale via Flipkart starting June 29th in Sunrise Copper, Nightsky Green, and Waterfall Blue color options. The phone is available in two storage configurations: 4GB/ 64GB and 6GB/ 128GB costing ₹11,999 and ₹12,999, respectively.

The latest update brings many new features and a ton of fixes that are bundled with the firmware version 1.16.0.7 for both bands. We don't know whether the global units will receive this update. Although there are chances that the international units will be updated to the latest firmware before shipping. 

The update resolves the random restart issue faced by the Mi Band 7 users. Also, the watch faces text alignment issue in the alarm section also got fixed. For the NFC variant, the firmware fixes the brightness issue that happens after exiting the payment page. In addition to this, it improves the watch faces and system stability of the Mi Band 7 series.

Above all, the most significant change is that one can change the vibration intensity on the fitness tracker itself. Earlier this feature wasn't available for the Mi Band users. IN fact, the users needed to use the brand's app to change the same.

Xiaomi launches Mi Band 7 globally for €59.99

A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 7 in China. It came with many improvements over its predecessor. The company has now launched the device globally. As of now, the band is available in multiple countries in Western Europe. However, the NFC variant is still exclusive to China. Also, the tech giant has not yet unveiled the device in markets like India and UK. Although the device has already received BIS certification, indicating that the Indian launch is approaching. Mi Band 7 Pricing & Specifications!

Even though it was launched with a price tag of €59.99, it can be bought at a discount of €10 in the early bid offer. Xiaomi has made the device available in ten different color options. These color options are Black, White, Light Blue, Cream, Dark Green, Orange, Camouflage Blue, Camouflage Green, Fluorescent Orange, and Fluorescent Yellow. 

The Mi Band 7 gets a more prominent 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 490×192 pixels. It brings support for Always-on Display (AOD) and a brightness of 500 nits. underneath, the device gets a new chipset, leading to better animations and user experience.



Further, the smart band also features improved blood oxygen tracking (Sp02). Interestingly, the device is one of the lightest smart bands and weighs around 13.5 grams. The band also offers an optical heart rate sensor, vibration motor, waterproofing up to 50 meters & supports sleep tracking.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro global variant visits Geekbench, confirms Dimensity 8100 SoC underneath

Last month, Oppo unveiled the Reno 8 series in China. The series includes three devices: Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ Now, the company is preparing to introduce the lineup in the global market. In the meantime, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro global variant has made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking website, shedding light on some key details.

As per the Geekbench portal, the global variant of Reno 8 Pro will bear the model number CPH2357. The device has managed to score 898 points in the single-core round and 3555 in the multi-core round. Further, the listing reveals the processor, operating system, and storage configuration of the device.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro global version will equip an octa-core processor with four cores running at 2.85GHz and four cores running at 2GHz. This is MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (or 8100 Max) chipset paired with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. To recall, the Chinese model of the device powers the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with MariSilicon X chip.

On the software front, the upcoming global Reno 8 Pro model will come pre-installed with Android 12 OS. In addition, the Geekbench website confirms a 12GB RAM model. Although we expect more storage options as well.

Reportedly, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ model will not make its way outside China. Therefore, there are chances that the variant will arrive as Reno 8 Pro 5G in the global market. In that case, we can expect a 120Hz 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen, 50MP triple rear camera, 4500 mAh battery, and more.
