Vivo is preparing to unveil a new smartphone in the Indian market: Vivo Y01A. The launch date of the device is still under cover but we do know that it is a budget offering. Ahead of any official announcement, the handset has made an appearance on the Indian BIS Certification Website, indicating an imminent launch. Here is a look at the Vivo Y01A specifications, price range, and other known details.

Vivo Y01S will be the second budget smartphone in the Y01 series, including the Vivo Y01. The BIS listing confirms the model number V2166 and the moniker of the device. Other than this, the portal does not reveal any particular details of the phone. Luckily, we do have some render leaks with us.
Reportedly, the smartphone is likely to feature a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch cutout. The panel can offer a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a plastic back. Underneath, the Vivo Y01A is tipped to power MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of default storage. Also, the leaks claim that the phone will offer 1GB of virtual RAM support as well.
On the software front, the Vivo Y01A is tipped to arrive with Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. For optics, the handset may house a typical 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear lens. Lastly, it could arrive in Black and Blue color options costing less than ₹ 10,000 in India.
