Xiaomi is kicking off the Android 12– based MIUI 13 skin iteration for its eligible devices since January. The latest smartphone to get the refreshed version of mobile software is Redmi Note 10S. This will be the first major update for the device, as it was launched back in March 2021 with Android 11 out of the box.

The latest software update for the Redmi Note 10S can be identified by the firmware version V13.0.2.0.SKLINXM. As of now, the package is rolling out in the Indian market.  It will eventually expand to more regions in the next few days.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 leaked, tipped to power Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

A few months back, we reported that Xiaomi is working to develop a new foldable smartphone— MIX Fold 2. Well, the reports stand true as the upcoming smart device by the company has managed to leak online. This phone will sit over the original Mi MIX Fold that was launched last year.

The recent leaks reveal some key specifications and features of the upcoming Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 smartphone. FYI, the device bears model number 22061218C and is codenamed zizhan. As per rumors, the phone will feature a bi-direction folding design with an 8-inch internal display and a 6.5-inch external screen. The panel can offer a 120Hz refresh rate and support a 2.5K resolution.

Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset will power the Mi MIX Fold 2. Also, it is tipped to equip Surge C1 imaging chip which is developled by the company itself.

In addition, the leaks claim that the upcoming foldable phone will carry a Leica branded 50MP camera sensor on the outer screen. This lens is said to come with support for recording Dolby Vision HDR videos.

To recall, the upcoming foldable by Xiaomi is suggested to be a refreshed model of the previous flagship rather than being an entirely new device. Oppo A97 5G appears on China Telecom website, launch imminent

Oppo is preparing a new A-series smartphone: Oppo A97 5G. The device will soon launch in the market as a successor to Oppo A96. However, as always, there are no official words from the company yet. Ahead of any official announcement, the upcoming device has made an appearance on China's Telecom website. Talking about the design, the China Telecom listing reveals that the upcoming Oppo A97 5G will carry a dual-camera setup on the back. The camera module will feature a glossy finish, while the area around it will sport a matte layer. Also, the left and right edges of the phone will house volume rockers/ SIM tray and power button respectively. At the bottom, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.

At the front, the Oppo A97 5G is built around a 6.56-inch display measuring 163.8 × 75.1 × 7.99mm in dimensions. The panel is likely to offer a Full HD+ resolution as well. In addition, it will pack a 5000 mAh battery, making it weigh about 190 grams.

For optics, the rear camera module of the device will be led by a 48MP primary camera. Accompanying this will be a 2MP secondary sensor alongside an LED flash. On the other side, an 8MP front camera will serve selfies and video chats.

Realme C35 picks up Realme UI 3.0 Early Access Beta based on Android 12

Realme is constantly extending the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 Early Beta access to more of its smartphones. The package has reached out to a handful of smartphones so far. The next in line to join the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access Beta Program is February 2022 launched Realme C35.
