[Update: September 2021 Security Patch] Nokia 3.4 Updates Tracker

HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 3.4 in September 2020. It features a 6.39-inch IPS LCD panel with Android 10 out of the box. Under the hood, Nokia 3.4 equips Snapdragon 460 paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It packs with triple rear camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and 8MP snapper at the front.

• [September 16, 2021]: Nokia 3.4 is receiving the September 2021 security patch in India & the Philippines. The build weighs 55.61 MB in size. It resolves several critical security vulnerabilities that are termed as severe by Google.


• [August 23, 2021]: The Android 11 package is rolling out to Nokia 3.4. The firmware is rolling out in wave 1 markets and bears all that we expect from Android 11. Check here to know the list and features.


• [February 4, 2021]: The Nokia 3.4 is receiving the December 2020 security patch update. The package is spinning the European markets. You can read more here.

 The OTA update will reach out to all units in some time. But, you cal always track the build manually by heading to Settings > About > Software updates. Also, we advise users to switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid additional charges.

Google Keep syncs with the new ‘Material You’ theme

Where Android 12 is on the verge of release, Google is updating its applications to sync with the Material You theme. After Gmail, Time picker, Contacts, camera, and more, the next in line to get themed by the new design is the Google Keep.

The updated version of Google Keep v5.21.361 will feature the ‘Material You’ theme and will start rolling out from September 21. Though it may take a while to reach all devices. Also, a new widget is likely to accompany the fresh layout. However, this information is not confirmed by Google.

Google highlighted the difference between the older Google theme and the new Material You design by uploading side-by-side screenshots. These pictures show exactly how much the display will change with the new theming system.



The subtle difference can be noticed in the overall accents including the top and bottom of the home screen, and the background. Alongside, the floating action bar on the top now features rounded curvy corners. If you own a Pixel smartphone, then you can see the color changes more prominently as it dynamically adapts to the phone’s wallpaper.

Google has not provided any detail for the release of Android 12 but, it is not too far from release. Reportedly, the new operating system will debut in early October. Meanwhile, the tech giant is encouraging app developers to modify the third-party apps in contrast to the new theme.

[Update: September 2021 Security Patch] Samsung Galaxy F41 Updates Tracker

In October 2020, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy F41 smartphone with Android 10 pre-installed. The device features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display paired with up to 128GB of storage and 6GB RAM. It is powered by an Octa-core processor based on Exynos 9611 Chipset. It packs a 64MP triple rear camera setup and a 32MP single front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy F41 Updates Tracker

• [September 15, 2021]:  The Galaxy F41 is receiving the September 2021 security patch in India. The update is bundled with the firmware version F415FXXU1BUH7. The patch fixes over 50 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. Alongside, it might include some general bug fixes and devices stability improvements as well.


• [April 6, 2021]: Samsung Galaxy F41 is receiving the Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update in India.The new update carries the firmware version F415FXXU1BUC8 and brings the March 2021 security patch along with it. It carries an updated file size of around 1GB and brings improvements in the camera and enhances system stability. Read more here.

As the update is rolling out in phases, making it take more time to reach all units. In the meantime, you can head to Settings > Software updates > Security updates to check the update manually. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support feature is live for non-beta testers

As we reported earlier, WhatsApp was testing a multi-device support feature. Now, the feature is finally rolling out to the non-beta testers with the latest update. The Multi-Device Support allows the users to use WhatsApp on four devices apart from their Android or iOS smartphone. To mention, this does not sacrifice end-to-end encryption, thus ensuring privacy and security.

Also, keep in note that the function can be used only on non-phone devices that include, WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp Desktop, and Portal. The multi-device functionality is moving from beta to stable phase of WhatsApp version 2.21.19. Reportedly, the app will "force users to update to the multi-device version, for a future update."

Interestingly, the user can operate the app without having an internet connection on the primary device. That implies the second device will work independently. Moreover, the user can also switch off the smartphone and still use WhatsApp on the connected device uninterruptedly.

Realme Band 2 debuted With 90+ Sports Modes: Specs & Price

The Chinese smartphone brand –  Realme has introduced one more smart device in the budget segment. This time, it's Realme Band 2 which is launched in Malaysia. The latest band features a new design and offers multiple health and fitness-related features. Let's take a glimpse at the smartwatch.

Realme Band 2 features a 1.4-inch TFT LCD screen in a rectangular-shaped module. The company claims that the panel will provide 500 nits of peak brightness. Despite being a low-budget band, the wearable has a variety of features related to health and fitness. The Realme Band 2 boards over 90 workout modes and all the imperative sensors to monitor health.

This includes walking, running, cycling, swimming, etc. Moreover, the watch has a Blood Oxygen sensor (SpO2), sleep monitoring sensor, heart rate monitoring sensor, and so on. Also, it has more than 50 watch faces on board. Additionally, the Realme Band 2 is water-resistant up to 50 meters.

The wearable packs a 204 mAh battery. Realme claims that the power cell is enough to offer almost two weeks of standby time. Precisely, the company says it could run 12 days on a single charge.

Price and Availability

Realme Band 2 is only limited to Malaysia as of now. It could debut in India and other regions soon. The watch cost RM 139, which is roughly INR 2,450. The company is likely to offer the watch for RS 2000 in India. However, there is no official word for when the watch will release in the country.

Google Pixel 6 Pro key specs revealed in render leaks

The Pro model from the Google Pixel 6 series is much-anticipated as it will be a first-ever ultra-premium flagship smartphone by the company. The lineup was made official last month with the Tensor processor but, we still miss some key specs. The latest leaks have now provided the required details. Here's a glimpse.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro will reportedly flaunt a polished aluminum frame that will hold a 6.7-inch FHD+ display. The panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout in the top middle. It will boost Android 12 out of the box paired with Google’s Material You design.

Under the hood, it will equip Tensor SoC based on Mali-G78 GPU and 2x2.8GHz, 2x2.25GHz & 4x1.80GHz CPU. There will be three storage variants of 128GB, 256GB, and 512B paired with 8GB of RAM. Further, it will ship with a 5000mAh battery and in-display fingerprint scanners for security.

Moving to the optic department, the Pixel 6 Pro will carry a triple rear camera and a single front-facing sensor. The main camera indulges a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide cam, and a 48MP telephoto shooter. Also, Google confirmed that the telephoto sensor will support 4X optical zoom. Moreover, the primary lens is likely to take in 150 percent more light for a higher quality picture. At the front, it could have a 12MP snapper underneath the cutout.
