Panasonic Announces Android Powered DMC-CM10 Camera

Let us clear before you expect anything else from the camera, DMC-CM10 is not going to make phone calls, Android 5.0 Lollipop is running but it’s not equipped with all the typical Android features.

Panasonic today announced DMC-CM10 camera with 20.1MP sensor. The Lumix DMC-CM10 is a successor to the Luмix DMC-CM 1. It is comprised of relatively high-end components.


Android powered DMC-CM10 is be equipped with LTE communication facilities, and will be able to send text messages and send and receive data via telephone networks with an appropriate SIM card in place.


Coming onto technical knowledge about camera, than the Lumix CM10 has 28mm F/2.8 Leica DC lens with 1-inch CMOS image sensor and manual focus ring that can take photos at a resolution of 20MP and videos at up to 4K.


Further, on the hardware specification of the camera it is packed with Snapdragon 801, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with a MicroSD slot, and a 2600mAh battery. There’s a display of 4.7″ at 1080p resolution. In connectivity Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and even 3G and LTE (data and SMS only, no voice calls).


Panasonic launched it in Japan for around 100,000 yen/£600/$850.
