Samsung Galaxy S20 Series starts getting One UI 3.0 update with Android 11

As per the One UI 3.0 update rollout plan, Samsung is rolling out the updates sequentially. After the successful rollout of the One UI 3.0 to Galaxy A50s, A70, and others, the company has now started seeding out the same update to the Galaxy S20 series. The update is rolling out on the G988BXXU5CTKG/ G988BOXM5CTKF/ G988BXXU5CTKF Firmware version, and it weighs nearly 179.82 MB in size.

According to the changelog/ release note, the update adds the December 2020 Security patch, One UI 3.0 goodness, new user interface, improvements to the camera, bug fixes, etc. The changelog of this update is limited, and the company has not added all the changes. However, you will be experiencing all the changes while using your smartphone.


Similar to all the other updates, it also spinning out in phases, and as a result, it usually takes a couple of days to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can also navigate to Settings>Software updates and check for updates to check the update status manually. In case if you have received the update, then install it for better performance. Otherwise, wait until you get it.
