Asus ROG Phone 2 receives July 2021 security patch update

Sneaking at the past time, it seems that the Asus update train is moving at a high tempo for the ROG series. Recently, the company strengthened the ROG Phone 5 security by sending the June security patch. Also, ROG Phone 3 got updated with Android 11 this month. The next smartphone in line to receive a new software update is ROG Phone 2.

The new software for Asus ROG Phone ll ZS660KL bumps the firmware version to 17.0240.2107.100. Presently, the package is limited to Japan, it will soon make way to other regions as well.

Talking about the changes, the build is accompanied by the latest security patch by Google, July 2021. Moreover, it addresses an issue where the volume of the smartphone could below while recording a video in the camera app. Here is the official changelog issued by the Taiwanese giant.
