Samsung updates the Galaxy Buds 2 ahead of its official release

Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds 2 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021. Before the official release on August 27, the company has pushed the first firmware update for the latest earbuds. The software refines the performance of the device and adds some essential features.

For those who have pre-ordered or planning to buy Galaxy Buds 2, the update will be ready to install once you set them up. Arriving on the firmware version R177XXU0AUH2, the new build is initially rolling out in South Korea weighing 2.97MB in size. The variants in other regions will also get similar treatment shortly.

After flashing the update, the users can activate Ambient Sound during calls. Also, the ambient modes can be customized. Alongside, noise cancellation protection is also added which can also be controlled with one earbud.

Moreover, there's a new addition to the experimental Lab section. Precisely, you can now double-tap on the edge of earbuds for easy control.
