Nokia 2.4 receives Android 11 with November 2021 Security Patch

It seems like Nokia is still not done with the deployment of Android 11. In August, HMD Global released the operating system to Nokia 1.4. And now it's time for the Nokia 2.4. The smartphone was launched in Sept 2020 with Android 10. Now, it is receiving a new update that brings Android 11 besides the security enhancement.

Google always makes sure to keep its smart driving app updated with new features. A couple of months back, Google detailed the dual SIM support arriving for Android Auto arriving in the coming weeks. The weeks turned to months but anyway, the feature is finally rolling out for Android Auto users.



With the latest Android Auto update, the user finally gets support for dual SIM phones. If you're placing a call in the latest version, you will see a pop-up asking which SIM you want to use for calling. That means along with playing music, accessing Google Maps, reading messages, and much more, you finally get the control to pick your preferred SIM right from your car’s infotainment unit.

Truecaller receives an update with brand-new features

Undoubtedly, TrueCaller has made the mobile experience convenient by acting as an anti-spam filter or recognizing unknown calls. • Video Caller ID: This feature remains the highlight of the update. This will allow you to create a video and show it to your contacts whenever they call you. All you have to do is set up a recording on Truecaller.

•  Call Announcement: As the name suggests, it will announce the incoming calls from contacts. Also, it maintains the app's ability to identify scammer calls. The feature is only available for Premium users though.


• Truecaller Ghost Call: This is another Premium feature via which the user can schedule a time to receive a fake call. To schedule a call, head to the Premium tab > select Ghost call setting option > enter name and number or simply choose a contact > set time of the call you want to flash on the screen. After you finally set a “schedule call,” your device will automatically ring to get you out of any awkward situation.

Pixel users facing multiple lock screen issues on Android 12

As per Google, Android 12 is the major overhaul to the operating system in the last few years. Indeed, the statement is true noticing the all-new user interface, brand new features, and numerous under the hood changes. However, with all these exciting improvements, the package seems to carry some bugs. Many users are complaining about the default squarish lock screen clock design.

Earlier, Pixel 6 users were facing some issues like a slow fingerprint scanner, ghost-dialing, and a few more. Fortunately, Google had an eye on these problems and resolved them. Now, the other Pixel users running on Android 12 are encountering multiple concerns with the lock screen notifications.

To mention a few, users are complaining that when they swipe down on the lock screen, the device shows quick settings menu instead of notifications. Moreover, the lock screen of the Pixel only shows the details of the first notification while the rest of them are ignored. That means they can not see all notifications without unlocking their respective Pixel device. Also, some of them are unable to reply from the lock screen. While trying, the mobile switches to the last launched app.

Can’t seem to get the lock screen to display the full detailed notifications. Instead I just get the little app icons, which I have to tap to then get the detailed view. I want the detailed view as soon as I turn the screen on. Can somebody point me to the correct setting? Not using AOD / ambient display or whatever it’s called these days.

On my lock screen, I get one notification that shows the content of my message, and then below that is just a summary of all my other notifications. Is it possible to get all the notifications to display? I can't find a setting for it.

Normally if you swipe down once it’ll show your notifications with 4 quick access toggles, and if you swipe down twice it’ll show all of your quick access toggles. Ever since updating to Android 12, if I swipe down immediately after unlocking my phone, it’ll pull down the entire notification area and show all 8 of my quick access toggles. I then have to swipe up to show the notifications. This ONLY happens if I swipe down immediately after unlocking my phone (either via fingerprint or PIN unlock). Has anyone else had this issue? It’s a very minor inconvenience, but something that’s just been bothering me.

As of now, we have no words from Google or when and how the company will address these bugs. Hopefully, it will soon notice all these complaints and take an action soon.

Moto G31 launched in India With Helio G85 SoC at ₹12,999

A few days ago, Motorola introduced five of its next-generation Moto G series. Out of which, one smartphone, Moto G31 finally made it to the Indian market. The smartphone will cost ₹12,999 for the lower end variant (64 GB + 4 GB RAM) and ₹14,999 for the upper storage variant of 128 GB + 6 GB RAM. Motorola Moto G31 features a 6.4-inch OLED HD+ display offering a 1080 pixel resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The panel has a 409ppi pixel density and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It measures 161.89 x 74.60 x 8.45mm in dimensions and weighs 180 grams. Also, it has a fingerprint reader and face unlock support on board for security purpose.

Under the hood, the device draws power from a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Also, the configuration is expandable up to 1TB via a hybrid microSD card slot. On the software front, the device boosts Android 11 OS out of the box.

WhatsApp may soon enable message reactions

The social media messenger WhatsApp may soon allow the user to react to messages using emoji. The feature is similar to the one we see on Instagram. Though it's been a couple of months since the feature is under beta build. But it has now come to light more prominently.

Be it personal inbox or group chats, every user will be able to view a panel listing some of the limited emoji while tapping onto the message. Do keep in mind that not all features make up the stable phase. But considering it's been months since the function is under testing, we do expect it to remain unchanged before the public release.

On the current WhatsApp Beta, there are six emojis available for message reaction, out of which, the user can give one reaction per message. Hopefully, the company will add more emoji options in the later beta versions or during the stable release.



As you can see in the image above, the screenshots are taken on WhatsApp iOS. However, some reports suggest that it is also developing for the Android OS. The stable rollout of the feature is still a secret but it's only a matter of time when it will exit the beta versions.

Three new Vivo devices surfaces on TKDN

After the launch of Vivo Y74s 5G, the Chinese giant is all geared up to introduce its new smartphones in the market. Recently, a set of three Vivo devices with model numbers V2131, V2130 and V2126 have been spotted on the Indonesian certification authority, TKDN.

The arrival of the three smartphones on the TKDN doesn’t reveal much information apart from the model numbers and network connectivity onboard. The Vivo 2126 and Vivo V2130 will support 5G and 4G LTE connectivity. Whereas the Vivo V2131 will only have access to the 4G network.

From the three phones, two of them also made appearence on the Google Play Console. The devices were V2130A and the V2131A. The listing revealed some key details and the design of the mobiles. The devices will draw power from the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, they will support 44W of fast charging.

From the disclosed pictures, we can see that the Vivo V2130A and the V2131A will arrive with a Full HD+ resolution. The panel will house the selfie camera inside the punch-hole cutout on the center. Furthermore, they will boost Android 11 OS pre-installed.

Galaxy S21 gets its first update after Android 12 One UI 4.0

Not a long ago, Samsung released the stable One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 series based on Android 12. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are now receiving their first One UI 4.0 based software update. Though the build is not major, it does carry some regular improvements offering a refined experience.

As of the moment, the latest package for the Galaxy S21 lineup is unfurling in the European markets and some other regions including Germany. Vivo Y32's (V2158A) design leaked via TENAA listing

At the beginning of this year, Vivo launched the Y31 smartphone. Now, the company is ready to debut the successor device— Vivo Y32. The phone was recently spotted on China's 3C certification and now it has surfaced on TENAA. With these listings, we have some leaked details and designs with us.

Design-wise, the images dripped reveal that the Vivo Y32 will resemble the Vivo Y33s. The smartphone is following the trend by flaunting a flat right-angle frame. Vivo Y32 holds a U-Shaped Notch display from the sides which is rumored to support HD+ resolution. The lock screen button embedded with a fingerprint sensor is placed on the right side of the device.

The rear panel houses dual sensors inside a rectangle-shaped camera module. The LED light is placed underneath. The quality of camera lenses is kept a secret. However, it is confirmed to include an ultra-wide-angle lens apart from the primary snapper.

Before TENAA, Vivo Y32 was spotted on 3C  Certification, revealing its charging capability. The smartphone will support 18W fast charging. The battery capacity is not disclosed though. Also, the certifications deny the 5G connectivity of the device. Herefore, we can say that it will draw power from a non-5G chipset like Helio G Series, Snapdragon 460, or Snapdragon 662.

The other details and official launch details are not yet confirmed by the company. But with all these leaks, the launch seems to be imminent.

Oppo Reno 7 series launched in China with Android 11 based on ColorOS 12

Oppo has finally introduced the successor series for Reno 6 series released in June this year. The lineup consists of three smartphones— Oppo Reno 7 5G, Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G. For now, the smartphones will ve available in their home country. Also, there are no words regarding the global launch by the company.

All three smartphones feature a similar punch-hole design with an AMOLED display. The rear panel of the devices features a gradient back finish, giving a premium look. The dual camera lenses are housed inside a vertically aligned rectangular module.

Though smartphones are different altogether, they do have some common grounds as well. This includes:

• AMOLED display with 1,080x2,400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The device measures 158.2x73.2x7.45mm and weighs 180 grams. The phone has a dual 4,500mAh power cell battery that supports 65W fast charging.



In the Optics department, Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G has a 50MP triple rear camera. The other lenses include a wide-angle shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. A 32MP Sony IMX709 camera serves selfies and video call purposes.

Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G

Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G is built inside a 6.43-inch full-HD+ display measuring 160.2x73.2x7.45mm in dimensions and weighing 171 grams. Under the hood, it equips an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. A 33W fast charging holds the lights of the device.



To take pictures, Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G equips a triple rear camera consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP sensor to measure depth. On the other side, there's a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera sensor.

Availability and Price

The Oppo Reno 7 5G and Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G will be up to grab in China from December 3. Whereas the Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G will hit the market from December 17. The lineup will arrive in three color options— Morning Gold, Star Rain Wish, and Starry Night Black.

Oppo Reno 7 5G will offer three storage variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The device starts for CNY 2,699 (approx. Rs. 31,500) and goes up to CNY 3,299 (approx Rs. 38,500). While the median model stands in between at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 35,000).



The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G will cost CNY 3,699 (approx Rs. 43,200) for the base mode (8GB + 256GB). And the upper variant (12GB + 256GB) is tagged with CNY 3,999 (approxRs. 46,700).

Samsung Galaxy A03 announced with a dual rear camera, 5,000mAh battery, and more

Samsung is deliberately releasing its new mid-range series, Galaxy A03. In August, the company launched the Galaxy A03s followed by the Galaxy A03 Core last week. Now, the brand has finally announced the standard Galaxy A03. Some of the specifications are revealed however, the availability and price are still undercover.

Talking about the design, the Galaxy A03 will feature a waterdrop-style notch display. The rear panel will hold a square camera module that houses a dual-camera setup. The camera island is similar to iPhone 12 with two sensors aligned vertically alongside a flash. The device will have rounded corners with a flat edge and slight bezels on the side and bottom.

Heading to specifications, the Galaxy A03 is built around a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. The waterdrop notch houses a 5MP selfie camera while the rear camera consists of a 48MP primary and 2MP depth sensor.



Under the hood, the smartphone equips an unknown octa-core processor (2x1.6GHz + 6x1.6GHz). It will arrive in three storage configurations – 32GB + 3GB RAM, 64GB + 4GB RAM +, and 128GB + 4GB RAM. Also, Samsung has not mentioned anything about the Android and One UI versions.

The other listed specifications include a 5,000mAh battery, Dolby Atmos support. Additionally, the phone will measure 164.275.9x9.1mm in dimensions and will arrive in three color options of Black, Blue, and Red.

Now that the key specs are revealed, Samsung can soon disclose the price and availability of the Galaxy A03. Though the company did mention that it may vary with markets.

Though the new device is called Redmi Note 11 4G. We can also consider it as a Redmi 10 with the only difference in camera. You'll get a 6.5" FullHD+ LCD with Redmi Note 11 4G with a 90Hz refresh rate. This will automatically switch to 45Hz or 60Hz when you're reading or watching a video.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 11 4G draws power from an Helio G88 SoC. Also, it boosts Android 11 out of the box paired with MIUI 12.5 on top. Asus ROG Phone II finally taste Android 11 update

While other companies are occupied with the deployment of Android 12, Asus is releasing an Android 11 update to ROG Phone II. Though it is arriving a few months later from its successor, ROG Phone 3, considering that the device is a two-year-old flagship, explains the delay.

The Android 11 update is rolling out through the firmware version 18.0210.2111.160. As of now, the package is limited to the Asus ROG Phone 2 units with model number ZS660KL in Taiwan.

Regarding changes, the software indulges everything we expect from Android 11. This further will be tossed with a ton of new features and redesigned UI based on the latest ZenUI. Also, the company has issued an official changelog for the same.
