Galaxy S21 gets its first update after Android 12 One UI 4.0

Not a long ago, Samsung released the stable One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 series based on Android 12. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are now receiving their first One UI 4.0 based software update. Though the build is not major, it does carry some regular improvements offering a refined experience.

As of the moment, the latest package for the Galaxy S21 lineup is unfurling in the European markets and some other regions including Germany. For the Galaxy S21, the package can be identified by the firmware version G991BXXU3BUKG. While for the Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra, the PDS number varies to G996BXXU3BUKG and G998BXXU3BUKG respectively. Following this rollout, the software will be extended to more regions soon.

As far as changes are concerned, this build does not include any significant changes. But it brings a few improvements to the system functions. These minor upgrades are imperative to the device to maintain performance and for a polished user experience. Also, considering the fact that the update arrived a few days before the beginning of next month, it could probably resolve several unknown issues thus, enhancing the system functions.

Samsung is rolling out the fresh software in batches. Therefore, you may have to wait a while in order to flash it to your respective device. In case you are particularly impatient, you can try visiting Software updates under the Settings app and install the version manually.
