Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 get their third One UI 4.0 beta

Almost a month ago, Samsung released the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The beta program has reached its third stage now, indicating that the final push is approaching. According to leaks, the foldable will get the stable One UI 4.0 in December 2021.

The third One UI 4.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rolling out in South Korea. Recently, the company also began to serve the beta to the US models. The package can be identified by the firmware version ZUKG for both regions.



As far as changes are concerned, Samsung has issued a changelog according to which, the build brings several improvements. Moreover, it fixes dozens of bugs to ensure a seamless experience. You can read the precise details below:

    • Changed screen brightness to lowest on boot

    • An afterimage occurs on the left side of the screen when the home button is pressed to move to the home screen

    • Routine ended due to conflicting set routine

    • When the main screen is opened, it runs at 60Hz

    • Separation line remains after opening in split-screen

    • After using the cover screen for a certain period of time, it is stuttered when unfolded

    • No Service (U+ 5G) after the call ends

    • Some apps do not vibrate when a notification occurs

    • Kakaotalk direct sharing not working




If you are already on the One UI 4.0 beta firmware, this update will arrive as an OTA. In another case, you can visit the Samsung Members app and enroll yourself by tapping on the One UI beta program banner. Thereafter, simply head to the Settings app > Software update > Download and install.
