OnePlus 8 series gets OxygenOS 12 C.16 update with improved battery life

The OnePlus 8 series is getting treated really well this month. The lineup received four software updates. Once again, the company is releasing a new update for the family, including the T-Mobile variant— OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T. The update for all the models is based on OxygenOS 12.

The announcement was made through the official OnePlus community forum. According to the post, the latest software update for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T is bundled with version number C.16. As of now, the build is rolling out in Europe, while more markets will get a similar version in the coming weeks.

Precisely, for the OnePlus 8, the build arrives on version IN2013_11.C.16, while for the OnePlus 8 Pro, it carries the IN2023_11.C.16 build number. On the other hand, the T-mobile model users will have to look out for firmware version KB2003_11.C.16.

Regarding changes, the package does not inculcate any significant features or modifications. However, it ensures a longer user experience by optimizing the power consumption in some scenarios. Ultimately, improving the battery life experience.

As always, the latest update is rolling out in batches. The build is hitting the units in a staged manner to a limited number of users today.
