OnePlus 8 series gets ColorOS 12.1 update with improved battery life

The Chinese tech giant is pampering the OnePlus 8 series since the release of ColorOS 12. In the latest development, a new update is rolling out for the family, including the T-Mobile variant— OnePlus 8OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T. The update for all the models is based on OxygenOS 12.1

The update for all the respective smartphones brings similar changes. However, despite the identical changelog, the build numbers are different. For the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, the build arrives on version C.27. On the other hand, the T-mobile model users will have to look out for firmware version C.28.

Precisely, the package resolves the issue where the status bar front went blurry. Also, the “Signal Display” icon in the settings app is taken care of. In addition, it improves battery life and optimizes system stability. Check out the official changelog below

As usual, the latest OxygenOS update is rolling out in batches. The build is hitting the units in a staged manner to a limited number of users today. It will steadily make way for all users after making sure there are no critical bugs. To manually check for the update, navigate to the device’s Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install.
