Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro teased at Google I/O 2022 with Android 13

The Google I/O 202 keynote event marked some surprising announcements last night. The tech giant mentioned some improvements arriving for the Google stock apps. In addition, the conference introduced some Pixel devices, including Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds Pro. Well, now that the Pixel 6 lineup is officially complete, the successor series was also teased at the developer's program.

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will serve as the latest addition to the Pixel line of smartphones. As noted in the conference, the series will launch later this year in the fall along with the Pixel Watch.

Google teased the rear design of the upcoming Pixel 7 series. The pictures render the same 'visor' design from the Pixel 6 lineup. In addition, the camera bar stripe runs through the frame from both sides. It is now made from polished aluminum and a glass back for a more premium look.





For optics, the Pixel 7 seems will carry a dual-camera setup, while the stripe on the Pro model houses triple lenses. On the software front, the family will be the first one to run the stable Android 13 OS. Moreover, Google confirmed that the phones will draw power from the next-generation Tensor chip under the hood.

Furthermore, some render specifications about the lineup are running around the rumor mill. According to leaks, both smartphones will carry a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Whereas, the Pro model will have an upper hand with a 48MP telephoto unit. Besides they are tipped to feature a 6.3-inch 90Hz display and a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, respectively.
