Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro appears on TENAA, approves Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

Asus is preparing to expand its gaming flagship with the introduction of the ROG Phone 6 series. Recently, the lineup was spotted on the 3C website. Now, the Pro model has made an appearance on TENAA's listing with model number AI2201_B. Here's a detailed look at the specifications and details revealed by the website.

As confirmed by Asus, the ROG Phone 6 series will debut on July 5 in China, Taiwan, and the US. Meanwhile, the TENAA's database has revealed the ROG Phone 6 Pro (AI2201_B) will measure 10.39mm in thickness and weighs around 229 grams.

At the front, the phone will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. For software, the phone is suggested to come preinstalled with Android 12 OS with a layer of ROG Phone UI on top.

Under the helm, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the ROG Phone 6 Pro paired with up to 18GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Further, the listing reveals that the device will pack a 2,925 mAh dual-cell battery, making it a total of 6,000 mAh. To recall, China's 3C certification mentioned support for 65W fast charging.

Moreover, Asus has confirmed some of the details of the upcoming gaming flagship. The ROG Phone 6 series will feature slightly thick top and bottom bezels. Also, it will offer dual stereo speakers, a VC cooling chamber, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and more.
