Galaxy A23 5G arrives at Geekbench, confirms Snapdragon 695 SoC

Samsung is working to unveil a new Galaxy A-series smartphones that recently made an appearance online. The Galaxy A23 5G was spotted on the benchmarking site, Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications. Here is a closer look at the upcoming Galaxy A23 5G.

On the Geekbench portal, the Galaxy A23 5G bears the model number SM-A236U. Based on the model number, the device seems to be a US- exclusive model. Also, it has managed to score 674 points in the single-core test and 2019 points in the multi-core test. Further, the listing reveals some details, including the processor, GPU, OS version, and storage configuration.

Under the hood, an octa-core chipset with six cores clocked 1.8GHz and two performance cores clocked at 2.21GHz powers the phone. This processor is integrated with Adreno 619 GPU. Considering the details, it is the Snapdragon 695 SoC. In addition, the listing confirms a 4GB RAM model.

However, we do expect the company to introduce Galaxy A23 5G in more storage variants as well. Also, the handset will come pre-installed with Android 12. With this operating system, it is likely to be tossed with One UI 4.1 skin iteration on top.

Further, the listing suggested the phone come with 4GB of RAM. However, we can expect more RAM and storage variants of the device. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box, which is likely to be based on One UI 4.1 skin. Based on the model number this could be a US-specific variant.

As per the previous leaks, the Galaxy A23 5G will carry a 50MP primary lens and will ship with a 5,000 mAh battery. With the approaching time, more details about the smartphone will surface online soon.
