OnePlus launched its flagship smartphones for the year 2020, dubbed as OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. It came with a ton of improvements in cameras and other areas. OnePlus 8 Pro was the first device to receive the IP58 water resistance. The brand has started to roll out a new update for both devices. OnePlus says that the update is an incremental rollout and will be all units in the following days. It is waiting for updated users to review the update so that it can start the broader rollout. The update is live in various markets, including India, North America, and Europe. All the details regarding the update were announced through its community.

OnePlus has bumped the security patch to May 2022 for both smartphones. Apart from this, they have also improved the stability of both the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus doesn't mention anything more about the update. We can understand that the update is a minor one and will weigh around 300MB. If your smartphone has received the update, you will be greeted with a notification. If you haven't received the same, head to Settings, tap on System, and open the Software Updates menu. As mentioned above, the broader rollout hasn't started, so some of you might have to wait for a few days to receive the update.
