Oppo Reno 7A with Snapdragon 695 5G SoC goes official in Japan

Earlier this year, Oppo unveiled the Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro. The company has now added one more smartphone to the series, called the Reno 7A. The device is now official in Japan as a new mid-range offering. Here is a detailed look at the Oppo Reno 7A's specifications, features, and price details.

The Oppo Reno 7A features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. The panel offers a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 409ppi pixel density. In addition, it is IP68 rated for dust and splash resistance.

Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC powers the Oppo Reno 7A paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Also, the RAM can be extended up to 5GB via the virtual RAM feature. As for the software, the phone runs on Android 12 along with ColorOS 12 skin on top.

On the optical front, the Oppo Reno 7A carries a triple rear camera setup led by a 48MP primary sensor. Accompanying this is an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter and a 2MP macro snapper. At the front, there's a 16MP shooter for selfies and video chats.

Moreover, a 4,500 mAh battery keeps the system working with an 18W fast charging support. The other notable features include an under-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometric authentication.

The sensors onboard include geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and gyro sensor. Further, the connectivity options include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Oppo Reno 7A is available in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant that costs ¥45,800 in Japan. The device will go on sale from June 30 in Dream Blue and Starry Black color options. You can buy the phone via au.com, UQmobile, RakutenMobile, and Y!mobile.
