The best Android OEM after Google to push updates is Samsung. Yesterday (May 31), Samsung started to push the Security Patch for its 2020 flagships. The Galaxy S21 series, which includes Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, receives the new update. Last month, Samsung started rolling out the latest May 2022 Security patch. The June 2022 patch was first obtained for the Galaxy Tab S7 series in Europe. As of writing this article, the Galaxy S21 series only in Europe receives the update. It comes with the firmware version number G998BXXU5CVEB. The update is live in Germany, and it will soon roll out in other European countries.

We expect the update to be live in other markets in the following weeks. The update fixes a few vulnerabilities and improves privacy features. It also brings stability to all the smartphones in Galaxy S21 Series. The Galaxy S21 users in Germany can install the update by heading to Settings. From here, tap on Software Updates and tap on Download and install updates to install the same. Since the update is rolling out via Over the Air (OTA), reaching your device may take some time. One can also install the update manually by downloading the firmware file.
