Galaxy A23 5G arrives on FCC, confirms 25W fast charging

It's been more than half a year since Galaxy A23 5G is in the works. While the 4G variant is already available in the market, the 5G version is still awaited. In the latest development, the Galaxy A23 5G has made an appearance on the FCC certification website. The listing reveals some key details of the approaching handset. Here's a closer look at the upcoming Galaxy A-series device.

With the FCC listing, we know the details like the processor, RAM, operating system, and charging capacity of the Galaxy A23 5G. Further, the US website reveals the following model numbers and variants:

  • SM-A236M/DS, SM-A236M/DSN, SM-A236M/N

  • SM-A236B/DS, SM-A236B/DSN, SM-A236B/N

  • SM-A236E/DS, SM-A236E/DSN, SM-A236E/N


According to the images revealed by the portal, the device will carry a triple rear camera setup. As the name suggests, it will come with 5G network support and will offer multiple 5G bands. The other connectivity options will include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, a microSD card slot, and NFC support.

As for charging, the FCC website divulges a 25W faster-charging support. For testing purposes, the company has used Galaxy M52 5G’s battery, which is rated at 5000 mAh.

To recall, the same device was also spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The portal reveals the presence of Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood. The chipset is paired with at least 4GB of RAM. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box.

Moreover, the Galaxy A23 5G also made an appearance on the Indian BIS website. With all these certifications, the launch of the device seems imminent.
