Google initiated the Android 13 beta program for the supported Pixel smartphones back in April. So far, the devices have received four beta updates and are ready to hit the stable version milestone. Ahead of the stable version availability, the Pixel 6a is also jumping to get the Android 13 Beta 4 with build number TPB4.220624.008.A2.

As said, Google is directly rolling out Android 13 Beta 4.1 to the Pixel 6a, which means it is the first and last version for the phone. Afterward, the device will upgrade to a stable build. However, it is not yet sure if the company might release any future updates. FYI, the last beta patch was released just a week ago to squash the last remaining bugs.

If you got the new Pixel 6a in your hands and want to taste Android 13 before its official release, here's what you have to do:

  1. On your device, visit the Android Beta webpage

  2. Tap on Eligible devices

  3. If you have Pixel 6a registered, click on “opt-in

  4. Within a few minutes, you will get an OTA update notification

  5. Tap on it and install the Android 13 beta package

As you might already know, the beta builds are only meant for testing. They are usually unstable and loaded with bugs and glitches that can hinder the user experience. Therefore, we do recommend you flash the beta update on your primary phone.
