It has been many months since OnePlus rolled out the stable OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones. Since then, OnePlus has pushed security updates to smartphones to improve further. In July, it pushed the OxygenOS 12 C.62 update with June 2022 Security patch. It had fixed many issues relating to the system. Now, OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS C.63 update for both OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. It was announced by a moderator in the OnePlus community and is live for the Indian units. He added that the update would soon be available in other parts of the world.
The update comes with the firmware version LE2111_11.C.63 for the OnePlus 9 and LE2121_11.C.63 for the OnePlus 9 Pro. The update bumps up the security patch to August 2022. It also brings many improvements to the optics department. To start with, it gets the Text Scanner feature which will scan and import text to your phone. OnePlus also added three new filters named Radiance, Serenity, and Emerald. Another addition is the Movie and Dual-view Video modes which will help content creators.
OnePlus also brings Long Exposure to adjust exposure time. It gets popular options such as Moving vehicles, Water & clouds, and Light painting. The users who have already received the update can submit feedback so that the brand can start the broader rollout soon. OnePlus adds that since it is an incremental rollout, it will take some time to reach all the units of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Do share the article with your friends who owns either of these smartphones.
