Reddit's Android App Closed Beta Testing Begins

Reddit, a community to share awesome stuff on the internet has started to test it Android App closed beta testing. Earlier, we got to know that they have released Android app and is given access to only few users.

Reddit’s founder Steve “spez” Huffman revealed that the closed beta for the official Reddit Android app will be starting today. Also, as per the reports, Reddit’s iOS app is coming soon with beta testing.

As per now, only few third party apps are available in the Play Store. Those few apps are as follows – Reddit is Fun, Baconreader, and Slide.

Official app here would bring some ease for the Reddit users who usually open browser on their phones to surf the community.

We welcome the Reddit Android app and it would help to save lot of time. Currently, there’s no release date given but we expect it soon if beta testing goes well. Also we don’t have any hint about the design. Hope, some more details surface soon.

Swiftkey Update Brings Support For Android Marshmallow; Emoji Tracker and More Added

Swiftkey, Android’s most used third party keyboard has received an update. The SwiftKey keyboard app has now updated its consumer version for Android users, which now officially supports Marshmallow.

Swiftkey not only extended support for latest Android version. They have even added various new features to the app. Now, we can input currencies of various new countries like Russia, Argentina, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Germany, Canada & Australia.

Further improvements have been made to typing behaviour when backspacing. Swiftkey has also extended support for new emoji to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

Some bug fixes are also present in the latest update and those are:

• Autospace now works with Japanese enabled


• Evernote personalization won’t cause repeated listing in settings


• We no longer autocorrect if you start typing a URL at the start of a message or capitalise the first “w”

OnePlus X is available without invite now

If you ever got in position where who really want to buy OnePlus X and you did not have an invite for that, than here is a good news for you. Now OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei announced on the company’s official forum today that the OnePlus X will be available for purchase without invites from now on. Previously, potential customers only had “invite-free Tuesday” to get the phone.

OnePlus X is powered with 5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441ppi. Moreover it has 13MP rear camera along with a 8MP front facing camera. Phone is powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. The OnePlux has 3 GB RAM with Dual sim capabilities.

CyanogenMod 12.1 Snapshot Available for Download

CyanogenMod 12.1 snapshot after the time of 2 months is here for download. Cyanogen rolls Snapshot every month but last time they didn’t provided update.

CyanogenMod snapshots are pretty much a step between a stable version and a nightly. These snapshot builds were earlier called Milestones. The number of bugs are minimized in the snapshot builds and it is very near to the stable builds.

Currently the released build is only been rolled out for a few Motorola devices—the 2013 Moto X, the Droid Ultra/Maxx, and the Moto Maxx variant.

Other devices will soon receive the update.

LG K4 and K10 Smartphones Launching all around the World

LG K4 and K10 smartphones has announced before CES 2016. Now LG K4 and K10 smartphones will be available all around the world in this week. Although, K10 is already available for purchase in South Korea.

LG says both handsets will be available in Europe as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region starting this week, and will be launched in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia in the weeks to come.

Both these devices runs on Android 5.1 lollipop. Hangouts 7.0 is rolling out Now, with Quick replies and Design tweaks

Hangouts get the 7.0 update with some exciting new features like Quick replies and conversation shortcuts. This update allow users to reply directly from the Notifications and the ability to add home screen shortcuts that lead directly to conversations.

Note: The update is very slowly rolling out to users. So stay clam to get the update. Now Google has also begun pointing people towards using an SMS app outside of Hangouts as well. Earlier Google has updated its Google now Cards and Inbox by Gmail app

Coming to this update, The quick reply feature works as you’d expect—a message and than you tap the reply button on the notification, and you get a little floating reply bubble. This is something people have been waiting for Google to add for a long time. However, you’ll only see the quick reply option when one message is there and When more than one message stacks up, that button goes away.

In this update there is a number of visual tweaks to the overall design of Hangouts, with more Material Design creeping in to replace the older Holo style in settings, checkboxes are now sliders etc. But overall, it’s mostly the Quick Reply feature that’s the big news in this release.

Inbox by Gmail gets more Refine Search Results

Google today gives new update to its Inbox by Gmail app which gets you more refine search results. The update contains two major features i.e. Answers at a glance and Streamlined search results.

It is seems google is very serious about search results in its apps and in google search. Earlier this month Google upgraded its Weathers Cards in Google Now and improve its search with more accurate results.  Coming to this update of Inbox by Gmail app you can see the information without opening the email like if you want to know the shipping status of some device you just need to enter the name of that device in the search field in Inbox and you will see the link to track the order as shown in Above GIF image.The second key feature Google just added to Inbox by Gmail involves streamlined search results. You’ll see a “Top results” section that orders emails by relevance.

Xiaomi Mi 5 Confirmed for February 24 by Hugo Barra

Xiaomi’s Senior VP Hugo Barra went to Twitter to confirm all the rumors of upcoming Mi 5. Xiaomi is coming with first product launch of 2016 on February 24th.

Already, there were reports about the February 24th launch of the Mi 5 device with its four variants. Hugo Barra has ended nearly a year-long speculation over this smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 5 remains one of the most awaited, and leaked smartphone from the company.
