At the Galaxy Unpacked 2021, Samsung introduced the third generation of foldable devices. After a series of leaks and rumors Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G are finally official. These anticipated smartphones are accompanied by accessories like Galaxy Buds 2 TWS earbuds and a Watch 4 range of smartwatches.
The premium foldable smartphones offer some new extensive features and major improvements over their predecessors. The foldable experience of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 is more optimized and durable that offers exclusive new ways for work, entertainment, and gaming purposes.

Both Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are built with new Armor Aluminum along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Moreover, the foldable equips with IPX8 water resistance technology. The panel of the flagships is 80% more durable than the predecessors with a new protective film made of stretchable PET.

Talking about Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, the device is the key attraction of the event. The reason being this is the first time Samsung has introduced
S Pen support on a foldable smartphone. The device is designed for those multitaskers looking for immense productivity and entertainment.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G unfolds horizontally converting the phone into a 7.6-inch tab with Infinity Flex Display. Unlike the previous-gen flagships, the panel is much stronger and tougher now. The foldable has a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED cover display i.e; the size when the device is folded. The cover display is made up of glass thus, enabling the user to perform all tasks there as well. The panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate on both the Main and Cover Screens.
Underneath the panel comes a 4MP under-display camera with its 10MP partner housed on the cover display. The rear side of Galaxy Z Fold 3 carries a triple camera module consisting of all 12MP lenses for ultrawide, telephoto, and autofocus sensors.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G runs the
Android 11 One UI 3.5 operating system paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor based on Snapdragon 888 5G chipset powers the device.
To serve the security, Z Fold 3 supports biometric locks including fingerprints and a face scanner. The foldable is packed with a 4400 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, 11W fast wireless charging, and a reverse wireless charging of 4.5W.
S Pen for Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes in two options: S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro. Both versions offer a seamless and intuitive experience. While S Pen Fold Edition only works with the Z Fold 3. The S Pen Pro supports all Samsung smartphones with S Pen compatibility.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G, the device is targeted at those who wish for a crackerjack function to arrive with a style. The handset is built for quick use on the go with its sleek, compact, and pocketable design. Moreover, the enhanced camera features and a larger Cover Screen make the operation easier.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G unfolds vertically with an undisrupted 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The unfolded panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen flaunts a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED Display which is now four times larger. The cover screen makes it easier to view notifications, messages, and perform other tasks.
In the shooting section, the Z Flip 3 houses a dual rear camera indulging a 12MP wide and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. On the other side, there's a 10MP snapper on the main display. The foldable runs Android 11 out of the box along with One UI 3.5 on top. The device serves the same security functions and charging capacity as Z Fold 3 with a 3300 mAh power cell.
Price and AvailabilityBoth smart devices will be up for pre-order from August 11 onwards while the official launch is scheduled for August 27. The devices will initially be available in U.S., Europe, and Korea.
Galaxy Z Fold3 arrives in three color variants of Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver. The handset is worth $1,799.99. Whereas the Galaxy Z Flip3 is available in four colors options —Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black. The device ships with new stylish ring grips and strap cases. It costs $999.99.
Samsung is gifting the users who pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Z Flip 3 with a year of Samsung Care+ protection and premium support service. That implies, the device will have all the accidental coverage including screen replacement, water damage, and back cover replacement.
