  • [September 2, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy F23 becomes the latest device to pick up the August 2022 security patch. The update is rolling out with firmware version E236BXXU1AVH1 in India. The patch addresses dozens of vulnerabilities to protect your device from third-party threats. In addition, the update will bring a new version of some stock apps, including Notes, Internet, Members, Calculator, and Voice Recorder.

The latest software update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro can be identified by the firmware version V13.0.1.0.SJZMIXM. As of now, the package is rolling out in the Global market.  It will eventually expand to more regions in the next few days.

Oppo A17 arrives on FCC, confirms 5000 mAh battery and more

The device will sit over the Oppo A16 that was launched last year in September. As its predecessor, the upcoming phone will be an affordable offering. On the FCC website, the Oppo A17 bears the model number CPH2477. Besides the model number, it reveals some key details, including the operating system, battery capacity, and connectivity options on board.


On the software front, the portal divulges that the Oppo A17 will run ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. With this skin iteration, we can say that it will come pre-installed with Android 12 OS. To recall, the Oppo A17 was spotted on GCF, BIS, and TKDN certifications websites as well. As expected, all these listings do not divulge any key details. Likewise, the company has not confirmed anything about the device yet. Although all these certifications indicate an imminent launch.

OnePlus 10R upgrades to OxygenOS 12 A.08 with August 2022 security patch

OnePlus delivers just the right amount of updates to its flagship to keep the user experience polished and refined. In the latest development, the company is releasing a new software update for the OnePlus 10R that bumps the version number to OxygenOS 12 A.08.

As per the official OnePlus community forum, the latest software update for the OnePlus 10R is rolling out in India. The package arrives with the firmware version CPH2423_11.A.08. In addition, the OnePlus 10R Endurance Edition is also picking up the same update in the country with version CPH2411_11.A.08.

As for changes, the build intends to enhance system privacy by integrating the August 2022 security patch. Realme C31 gets Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta update

Realme C31 users can now taste the goodness of Android 12 before its official release for the device. The company has started the Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta program. To recall, the phone was launched in March 2021 with Android 11 out of the box along with Realme UI R Edition.

The announcement was made via the official Realme community forum. Realme C31 users can start testing their device’s compatibility with Android 12. However, the availability of the Realme UI 3.0 beta program is currently unknown. Anyway, you can try flashing the beta build on your device irrespective of the market.

The beta channel for the smartphone is open from September 1. If you are an interested user, make sure to update your phone to the required version which is  RMX3501_11.A.35 / RMX3501_11.A.37 / RMX3501_11.A.39. Thereafter, follow the below steps to apply for the program.




  1. Head to phone Settings > Software update

  2. Look for the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen

  3. Click upgrade and early adopters and fill in the required information

  4. Scroll down and click on the trial version by confirming the agreement

  5. Lastly, Submit your details, finish the quiz, and tap on Apply Now button


The company will review your application. If it passes, the build you will receive the update within 3 days. Also, keep your device’s battery above 60% while flashing the new build.

Vivo X Fold S hits Geekbench, confirms Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

A few months back, Vivo entered the foldable smartphone category with the launch of the Vivo X Fold. Now, the company is preparing to unveil the second device: Vivo X Fold S. Ahead of any official announcement from the company, the upcoming foldable has made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking site. Let's take a look at the details and specifications revealed by the listing.

On the Geekbench portal, Vivo X Fold S bears the model number V2229A. The device managed to score 1,319 points in the single-core round. Whereas, in the multi-core round, it scored 4,045 points. Further, the portal reveals some key specifications, including processor, operating system, storage onboard, and more.

Under the hood, the next Vivo foldable will draw power from a processor codenamed ‘taro’. This is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset. It has four cores running at 2.02GHz, three at 2.75GHz, and one prime core with a 3.19GHz clock speed. Further, the SoC is integrated with Adreno 730 GPU.



In addition, the website confirms an 11.01GB RAM model. However, the company will market it as a 12GB configuration. Also, we can expect more storage variants as well. On the software front, the phone will run Android 12 out of the box. The OS is likely to be tossed up with a customized UI on top.

To recall, the Vivo X Fold S was recently spotted on China’s 3C certification site. It confirmed that the device will support up to 80W fast charging. Reportedly, it will back up a 4,700 mAh battery. In other leaks, the device is tipped to feature a 120Hz high-res display with a leather finish and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. For optics, it is said to equip a 50MP telephoto lens.

Previous reports suggest the device will come with a 4,700 mAh battery and support up to 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It is said to have a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and significantly improved hinge and build quality. Further, the device is tipped to have a leather finish and an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

As of now, this is all we know about the Vivo X Fold S. The rumors claim that the handset can go official this month. Although any official statement from the company is still awaited.

Galaxy A03s gets Android 12 update with July 2022 Security Patch

While Samsung is testing Android 13 for its high-end flagships, the company has not forgotten its entry-level offering.
