Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro with 1.64-inch display launched in China for ¥399

Along with the launch of the Xiaomi 12S series, the company also unveiled the Mi Band 7 Pro in China today. This is the third smart wearable from the Band 7 series after the Mi Smart Band 7 and Mi Smart Band 7 NFC that was launched back in May 2022. Needless to say, the Pro model is a premium version of the vanilla Band 7. Let's take a look at the new fitness device.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro features a rectangular metal texture frame. At the front, it carries a massive AMOLED screen measuring 1.64-inches which is 5ATM rated for splash resistance. The panel offers a screen resolution of 280 x 456 pixels, a 326ppi pixel density, a 70% screen-to-body ratio, Always-on Display support, and a 2.5D glass on top for protection.

In addition to this, the new Mi Band 7 Pro is the first device in the series to arrive with a built-in GPS. With this onboard, the user can leave their phone behind, while the band will continue to track the outdoor activity. Also, the sensor will allow tacking locations much more accurately. Besides, it supports NFC, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS, Bluetooth 5.2, and Xiao AI voice assistant.

Regarding features, the smart wearable offers 117 sports modes. This includes 10 running training courses and 14 professional sports modes. The other common health features include an all-day heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, step count, calorie count, and more.

In terms of backup, the Mi Band 7 Pro ships with a 235 mAh battery. The company claims that the unit can last up to 12 days on a single charge. Moreover, the band is equipped with quick-release bands to facilitate easy band changes.

Price and Availability


The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 7 Pro will go on sale in China this week. It is available in multiple color options, including Blue, Orange, Gren, Pink, Grey, and more. The wearable costs ¥399. Interestingly, the company is offering an introductory price of ¥379 which is valid till July 7.

Samsung Galaxy A04 gets FCC certification, launch imminent

A new Galaxy A series smartphone seems to be in the pipeline. The Samsung Galaxy A04 has made an appearance on the FCC certification website. The phone will reportedly make its debut in select markets in the coming weeks. However, there are no official words from the company yet. Meanwhile, here are the specifications, features, and other details leaked via the FCC listing.

Samsung Galaxy A04 will sit over the Galaxy A03 that was launched last year in November. Also, the budget smartphone offering might launch in various markets soon. As revealed by the FCC portal, the device bears the model number SM-A045M. Considering the model number, we could say that the phone will be a single-SIM variant.

Although we can expect the company to introduce a dual-SIM variant as well. In that case, the device will arrive with the model number SM-A045M/DS. In addition to this, the FCC certifications reveal the battery capacity and connectivity options.

The Galaxy A04 will have a typical battery rating of 5000 mAh. However, the rated battery capacity is 4900 mAh. Also, a charging adapter with the model number EP-TA20JWE was used for the testing. The Xiaomi 12S series was running around the rumor mills for months. Finally, the lineup is official in China, including three models: Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. As the name suggests, Xiaomi 12S is the vanilla model, while the Xiaomi 12S Pro is the median variant. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra sits over both of them. Let's take a closer look at the new premium smartphones.

Xiaomi 12S


The vanilla Xioami 12S features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout at the top center. The panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate, an HDR10+ resolution, a peak brightness of 1100 nits, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Under the hood, the phone powers a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, it boosts Android 12 out of the box along with a layer of MIUI 13 on top. In addition, a 4500 mAh battery keeps the system working with 67W fast charging support, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wired charging.

For optics, the Xiaomi 12S carries a triple rear camera module led by a 50MP primary snapper. Accompanying this is a 13MP ultrawide unit and a 5MP tele-macro sensor. On the other side, the handset houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

The Pro model is built around a 6.73-inch QHD+, E5 AMOLED display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The panel supports a 10-bit display that offers 1500 nits of peak brightness.

In terms of camera, the Xiaomi 12S Pro has a Leica-branded triple camera module on the back. The capacity of the setup is a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto snapper with 2x zoom.

Also, the phone ships with a 4600 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The rest of the specifications are similar to the vanilla Xiaomi 12S.

However, interestingly, there's one more variant of the Xiaomi 12S Pro that equips Dimensity 9000+ SoC underneath. The only difference is the chipset and that it packs a 5160 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra sports a 6.73-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED 12-bit curved display with a 2K resolution. The screen offers an LTPO 2.0 panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits, and native 10-bit color depth.

Under the helm, it runs the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Although it arrives with an additional 512GB storage variant. Inside, there's a 4860 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Moreover, the smartphone comes with Surge P1 and G1 chipsets to ensure better battery management and improve efficiency.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra claims to have one of the most advanced camera setups in the smartphone market. It also arrives with a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup consisting of a 50.3MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultrawide unit, and a 48MP periscope snapper with up to 120x hybrid zoom. On top, there is also a 23K gold rim on the camera module.

Realme GT 2 Pro gets a new update with June 2022 Security Patch

The Lenovo-owned company has introduced another G-series smartphone in India: Moto G42. To recall, the entry-level smartphone was launched in the international market last month.
