Vivo V20 launched in India at starting price of Rs. 24,990

Vivo has officially unveiled a new smartphone named V20 in its V series. The brand new Vivo V20 becomes the first device in India to pack with Android 11 out of the box. In the Vivo V20 launch event, the company has also announced that Vivo V20 SE will be launched soon in the country.

Vivo V20 features a 6.44-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC Chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB onboard storage. Nevertheless, it can be expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card.

Coming to the central part – the camera, it sports a triple rear camera that compromises of 64-MP primary sensor + 8-MP secondary sensor and a 2-MP monochrome sensor. On the front, there’s a 44-MP camera for selfies and video calling. Some of the camera features include 4K Selfie Video, Super Night Selfie 2.0, Slo-Mo Selfie Video, Multi-Style Portrait, etc.

The device runs Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11 (Skin) out of the box and houses a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W FlashCharge support. In connectivity options, there’s Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi etc. Moreover, there’s an in-display fingerprint scanner.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Start Receiving Android 11-Based OxygenOS 11 Update

To recall, in the month of September, OnePlus has started testing the OxygenOS 11 open beta for OnePlus 8 series. LG reveals Software update plan for Q4 2020 along with eligible devices [List]

LG is a bit backed in providing software & security updates compared to all the other smartphone brands. To recall, Google has officially released the Android 11 version in the last month, and already many of the smartphones have started experiencing the update. Realme 7i Specifications

Realme 7i houses a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate. The device comes in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB variant and 4GB RAM with a 128GB variant. Furthermore, it can be expandable via a microSD card. [Update: September 2020 Security Patch] Oppo Reno 3 Pro Update Tracker

At the beginning of 2020, Oppo has officially unveiled the Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphone. The device sports a 6.4-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and is powered by a Mediatek Helio P95 (12 nm) Chipset. In-camera, there’s a 64-MP + 13-MP + 8-MP + 2-MP quad rear camera and a 44-MP + 2-MP dual rear camera. The smartphone is available in 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of onboard storage.

• [October 4, 2020]: Oppo has started seeding out the September 2020 Security patch update to the Oppo Reno 3 Pro users. The update is bumping on the CPH2035_11_A.25 Firmware version and is rolling globally. Coming to the changelog, apart from the latest Security patch, there’s nothing new in this update. So, this update might also include fixes for known issues, optimizations, and improvements.


• [July 11, 2020]: Starting from this day, Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphones have started receiving June 2020 Security patch update. The update appears on the CPH2035_11_A.19 and features the Mail app and Oppo Relax app, and a few fixes. Apart from that, the company has not added any new features to the device. Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, Nest Speaker launched Officially

Today, in the online “Launch Night In” event, Google has officially launched Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, and Nest smart Speaker in the United States. As of now, the New Chromecast with Google TV is only available to buy in the country for $49.

Google Pixel 5 Specifications

The device houses with a 6-inch OLED display (1080 x 2340 pixels) and houses with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and a Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by an octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Coming to the central part – the camera, it packs a dual rear camera that compromises of 12.2 MP primary camera with f/1.7 lens + 16-MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there’s an 8-MP single camera for selfies and video calling. Pixel 5 comes with a 4,080mAh battery that lasts for one day after a full charge. Moreover, it comes with the 18W Qi wireless charging support.

Interestingly, Google Pixel 5 runs Android 11 out of the box, and the company promised that it would provide Software and Security Patch updates up to 3 years.
