[Update: October 2021 Security Patch] Oppo Reno2 F Updates Tracker

In Q3 of 2019, Oppo had officially unveiled the Reno2 F smartphone. The device sports a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a Mediatek Helio P70 Chipset based on Android 9.0 (Pie) onboard. For shooting purposes, there’s a 48 MP quad rear camera and a 16 MP Motorized pop-up selfie sensor.

  • [October 25, 2021]: Oppo is releasing the October 2021 security patch to the Reno2 F. The update is unfurling in international markets via the firmware version CPH1989_11_F.16. Alongside, the package does not bring any other noticeable changes. But, it addresses various privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.

  • [April 3, 2021]: Opo Reno2 F is receiving the April 2021 security patch update on the firmware version CPH1989_11_F.12. Visit our dedicated tracker to know more about changes.

  • [March 12, 2021]: Oppo has released the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 update for Oppo Reno2 F. The update bears the build number CPH1989EX_11_F.11 and is currently rolling out in India. Click here to know more about this package.


As always, the company is sending the updates in phases. Thus, it may take some time to reach all the units. Meanwhile, navigate to Settings > Software updates > check for updates to manually check the update status. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges.
