As promised by the company, Vivo has finally unveiled its next foldable smartphone in China: the Vivo X Fold+ 5G. It sits over the Vivo X Fold 5G that was launched earlier this year. Needless to say, it comes with a significant upgrade over its predecessor. Here's a closer look at the specifications, features, pricing, and other details of the premium handset.

At the front, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G is built around an 8.03-inch foldable E5 AMOLED with a 2K resolution. The screen will provide a refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. The cover display of the device will be a 6.53-inch Full HD+ E5 AMOLED screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, an octa-core processor based on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powers the device. The chipset is paired with up 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. For software, it comes pre-installed with Android 12 along with OriginOS Ocean skin iteration on top.
In terms of optics, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G carries a massive quad-camera setup at the back. The module consists of a 50MP primary lens with OIS support, a 48MP ultrawide unit, a 12MP portrait sensor, and an 8MP periscope snapper with 5x zoom.
In addition, the 5G-powered smartphone ships with a 4700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Also, it can be backed up with 50W wireless fast charging as well. Besides, both screens come with a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Price and Availability
The Vivo X Fold+ 5G is up for purchase in China in Red, Blue, and Black color options. The device costs ¥9,999 (~₹1,13,900/ $1,398) for its base 12GB/ 256GB model. On the other hand, the other 12GB/ 512GB variant is priced at ¥10,999 (~₹1,25,300/ $1,538).
As for launch offers, a few lucky pre-buyers of the device stand a chance to win a free 50W wireless charger and protective case. However, the deal is valid for a limited quantity until October 7.
