One UI 5.0 to be officially announced at SDC 2022 tomorrow

Starting with the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung initiated the One UI 5.0 Beta Program two months ago. So far, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A52 have joined the update list. In the latest development, the Korean tech giant will finally announce the Android 13-based skin iteration officially tomorrow at the Samsung Developer Conference 2022.

As announced by the company's website, it will officially talk about One UI 5.0 during Samsung Developer Conference 2022. All the features, philosophy, UI/UX design, compatible smartphones, and more details will be revealed during the event. In that case, we can expect the stable One UI 5.0 release after the keynote. Needless to say, the Galaxy S22 series will be the first one to hit the phase. To recall, the lineup is already running the fourth beta version.

As far as features are concerned, the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 will bring a revamped UI that will play with the notification design as well. The Color Palette feature introduced with Android 12 is now more customizable. In addition, the animations and transitions and smoother than ever before.

Moreover, Smart Widgets are replaced with Stacked Widgets, making them easier to use. Also, security is improved by accumulating all of your accounts, passwords, security, and privacy features into one screen. Further, you can set different ringtones for each contact. Besides, there's an amazing feature called OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which will let users copy text from an image and keyboard.

Other than that, the One UI 5.0 also plays around with quick setting toggles, permissions pop-up menus, and more. Likewise, there are new multitasking features, improved sound and vibration, a new Connected Devices section, a UWB toggle, and a lot more
