[Update: September 2020 Security Patch] Realme X3 Update Tracker

Starting from a couple of days, Realme has started update the Realme X3 Series every month by sending the Security updates regularly. The Security update usually includes new add-ons, bug fixes for known issues, optimizations, and improvements.

• [September 29, 2020]: The Chinese smartphone brand – Realme has started seeding out the Security Patch update for the month of September 2020. According to the changelog, apart from the latest Security Patch and bug fixes, the update doesn’t add any new features. The RMX2081PU_11_A.43 update brings fixes for probabilistic crashing & display issues, missing the prompt window, and many other issues. Additionally, the update adds the Soloop Application to the device.


• [June 27, 2020]: Starting from this day, the Realme X3 devices have started receiving the June 2020 Security Patch update. Coming to the changelog, the update brings Realme Paysa and Link App, fixes for known issues, and a few optimizations. As the company is sending the updates in a stagged manner, it usually takes a few days to reach all the units. At the beginning of 2019, Realme has officially launched the Realme 3i smartphone. The device features a 6.22-inch display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution. tIt couples with Mediatek Helio P60 (12 nm)/ Mediatek Helio P70 (12nm) Chipset and is available in 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB internal storage. In-camera department, there’s a 13-MP + 2-MP dual rear camera and a 13-MP single front-facing camera.

The new add-ons include upper nighttime standby & Smooth scrolling feature, long-press to delete, glowing effects of icons, Deep cleanup, Auto-download over Wi-Fi toggle, OTG switch & Focus mode switch toggle, and many other features. The update appears as the RMX1825EX_11_C.16 Firmware version and it also brings optimizations for Mute-Bell-Vibrate icon state.


• [July 31, 2020]: Another update started rolling out for the Realme 3i users with the July 2020 Security Patch. The RMX1827EX_11_C.14 update features the latest Security Patch, optimizations and a few fixes for known issues. After the rollout of the new updates for Oppo R15 Pro, R17, Reno 4 Pro, and more smartphones, the BBK-owned Oppo has started seeding out the August 2020 Security Patch update for the two-year-old Oppo K1 smartphones.

So, the Security update generally includes the reported/ known bug fixes, optimizations, and improvements.
