OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Start Receiving Android 11-Based OxygenOS 11 Update

To recall, in the month of September, OnePlus has started testing the OxygenOS 11 open beta for OnePlus 8 series. Now, the company has begun rolling out the Android-11 based OxygenOS 11 Stable version update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones. The update is arriving on the OxygenOS 11.IN11DA Firmware version and it comes with a bunch of changelog. As of now, the update is limited to Indian users only and will be released shortly in the other countries too.

What’s new?

Talking about the changelog, the update brings new add-ons, Fresh new UI visual design and optimizations. The new add-ons include gaming tools box for convenient switches, quick reply feature in a small window for social apps, mis-touch prevention feature, Always-on ambient Display function, Insight clock style, 10 new clock styles, shortcut key for Dark Mode, 5 new themes (ocean, space, grassland, and so on), and much more.

The company has also said that OxygenOS 11 will be released shortly in the upcoming days for OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus Nord smartphones.

Similar to all the other updates, the company is sending the updates in phases, and as a result, everyone will be experiencing the update within a week. Meanwhile, navigate to Settings>Software updates and check for updates to check the update status manually. Also, make sure to switch over to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges. LG reveals Software update plan for Q4 2020 along with eligible devices [List]

LG is a bit backed in providing software & security updates compared to all the other smartphone brands. To recall, Google has officially released the Android 11 version in the last month, and already many of the smartphones have started experiencing the update. So far, number of the LG mobiles have got the Android 11 updates, and they are still running on the Android 10 versions.

A couple of hours back, LG has shared an official update schedule with a list of devices for the fourth quarter of 2020. As per the release note, LG V50S, LG Q70, and LG X6 (2019) will be getting the performance updates that include bug fixes, improvements, and optimizations.
In addition to the update schedule, the company has released the list of devices eligible for the September 2020 Security patch update. The list of devices includes LG Wing, Q8 (2018), X4 (2019), V50 ThinQ, V50S ThinQ, LG Q61, LG G7 ThinQ, and many more devices. According to the release note, the devices mentioned above are expected to receive the updates in the coming days with a Security patch and other changes.

Earlier in 2019, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A30 smartphone by featuring a 6.4-inch display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, Nest Speaker launched Officially

Today, in the online “Launch Night In” event, Google has officially launched Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, and Nest smart Speaker in the United States. As of now, the New Chromecast with Google TV is only available to buy in the country for $49.

Google Pixel 5 Specifications

The device houses with a 6-inch OLED display (1080 x 2340 pixels) and houses with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and a Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by an octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Coming to the central part – the camera, it packs a dual rear camera that compromises of 12.2 MP primary camera with f/1.7 lens + 16-MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there’s an 8-MP single camera for selfies and video calling. Pixel 5 comes with a 4,080mAh battery that lasts for one day after a full charge. Moreover, it comes with the 18W Qi wireless charging support.

Interestingly, Google Pixel 5 runs Android 11 out of the box, and the company promised that it would provide Software and Security Patch updates up to 3 years. Chromecast with Google TV

Talking about the new Chromecast, it costs around $49, and it is already available to buy in the United States. Furthermore, the Chromecast runs Android TV OS out of the box. The device comes with a short remote which offers Google Assistant, Netflix, and Youtube buttons. Similar to all the other TV’s, it also comes with a few pre-loaded apps like Netflix, Prime, etc., and there’s also the Google Playstore to download additional apps. It is available in Snow, Sky, and Sunrise colors.

Google Nest Speaker

The Google’s new Nest Speaker is the replacement for the old Google Home. It is priced at $99 (Approx. Rs. 7,284) and will go on sale from October 5 in 21 countries. The company has also started taking the pre-orders, and the interested users can place an order from here—Quad Core A53 1.8 GHz Processor powers the Nest Speaker.
