Verizon Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) gets Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update

Last month, Verizon and Samsung rolled out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy Tab S5e users. And after that, the Verizon-based Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) has started receiving the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update. The update is reportedly spinning on the build version RP1A.200720.012.T307USQU5CUE7.

What's New?


Similar to the previous Android 11 updates, it includes new features, enhancements, improvements, and the firmware might also incorporate bug fixes on the off chance. Furthermore, it is mentioned in the changelog that the latest update includes the June 2021 Security Patch.

The firmware brings enhancements to Quick Share for easily sharing files to other Android devices. The update also fuels Android 11 goodies tossed with One UI 3.1 goods. A few hours ago, the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus Lite and Galaxy XCover 5 secured new updates. After them, the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Tab Active2 become the latest devices to join the July 2021 Security Patch update party.

Discussing the Galaxy Fold update first, the July 2021 Security Patch has started hitting on the firmware number F900FXXS5EUF3. At the moment, the firmware is limited only to the Galaxy Fold France users. And unfortunately, the changelog of this update remains a mystery right now. Nonetheless, as it is a regular monthly patch, we can expect known bug fixes, improvements, and minor changes.

Forthcoming to the Galaxy Tab Active2's update, it dispatches with some July 2021 Security Patch and some changes related to the Application of terminal security-related stabilization code. Besides these, Samsung has not added any features or other changes to the device. If the company adds any noticeable changes, then you will be undergoing them while operation your smartphone.

As always, the updates are following the greyscale rollout. Realme started the Early Access Beta program for Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 in December 2020 to test its functioning on budget smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be identical to Galaxy Z Fold 2 in terms of camera. The device will hold a triple rear lens with 12MP each. On the other side, there will be a 10MP shooter for selfies as per reports.



As reported, Galaxy Z Fold 3 was supposed to carry an LTPO screen with under-display cameras (UDC). The statement stands true as the smartphone will have a 16MP under-display camera on the foldable screen. Interestingly, this will be the first foldable with the UDC.


Under the hood, Galaxy Z Fold 3 was expected to power Snapdragon 888+ processor. But the dust is now clear as it will equip the standard vanilla Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 512GB of memory configuration.


The other specs include a 7.55-inch display in addition to the 6.23-inch Super AMOLED main panel. Galaxy Z Fold 3 will carry an Infinity-O cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. It will have Android 11 onboard coupled with up to 16GB RAM.


Furthermore, Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a side-mounted fingerprint for security. The smartphone will pack a 4,400 mAh battery. Most importantly, it will offer an S Pen functionality which will be a hybrid between the Pen found on the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Note 20 series.

Samsung Galaxy A03s arrives at Bluetooth SIG certification

Apart from the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy F22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and many other devices, Samsung is also preparing an A-series handset, Galaxy A03s. The entry-level smartphone recently made an appearance at the Bluetooth SIG certification site. This indicates that Galaxy A03s could debut in the upcoming weeks.

Samsung Galaxy A03s passes the Bluetooth certification authority (Bluetooth SIG), with model number SM-A037F. The listing does not reveal any particular specs apart from the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Though, we do have some render leaks with us.

The upcoming Galaxy A03s is likely to feature a top-notch display with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen. Reportedly, the device may have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, embedded in the power button. Surprisingly, it is said to support a USB Type-C port, which will be an upgrade for an entry-level smartphone.
